And related to those acquisitions from HBO, Serial Mom for Shout. Universal did a Blu-ray for the UK but no extras (though Universal did a special edition DVD).
Wait, Universal acquired the HBO titles? The Hitcher, please and thank you!

I should have explained. Universal acquired only the 1993-1995 Savoy (but non-Rysher productions, as those are with Paramount) titles from HBO (such as the two I mentioned). Titles produced by HBO (such as The Hitcher) remain at Warner Bros.

Savoy titles with Universal:

A Bronx Tale
Shadowlands
Lightning Jack
Serial Mom
No Escape
Exit to Eden
The Walking Dead (war movie, not the AMC series)
Circle of Friends
Tales from the Hood
Dr. Jekyll and Ms. Hyde
Last of the Dogmen (though Carolco produced this one, Savoy acquired all domestic rights while Carolco kept international)
Steal Big, Steal Little
Getting Away with Murder (released after 1995 but part of what Universal acquired)

No.

1986 The Hitcher is still @ HBO/Warner Bros.

Rogue Films (Relativity Media) & Universal Pictures optained the rights to make the remake of the film in 2007. Produced under Platinum Dunnes.

Universal aquired the Savoy Pictures catalog that included Tales From The Hood, Serial Mom, A Bronx Tale & Ligthning Jack.

I always liked No Escape. While not a horror movie, it was sort of an action/sci-fi flick that could possibly fit into the Scream/Shout line.

I know Scream haven't given us much at all in the way of films made before the 70s (Price aside), but the other Universal Monster films and the sci-fi films of the 50s, if available, may just tempt them.

The Boy Who Cried Werewolf (1973) (Never Released on DVD)
Sssssss (1973)
Killdozer (1974) (TV, but fairly high profile)
The Car (1977)
Rollercoaster (1977)
The Legacy (1978)
Dracula (1979) *

An American Werewolf in London (1981) *
Burned at the Stake (AKA The Coming) (1981) (Never Released on DVD)
Ghost Story (1981)
Nighthawks (1981)
The Thing (1982) *
Nightmares (1983)
Firestarter (1984) *
The Serpent and the Rainbow (1988)
The 'Burbs (1989)
Shocker (1989)

Buried Alive (1990) (TV, but Frank Darabont and very good)
Child's Play 2 and 3 (1990-1991) *
The Guardian (1990)
I'm Dangerous Tonight (1990) (TV, but Tobe Hooper)
Psycho IV (1990) (TV, but high profile)
Tremors (1990) *
Cape Fear (1991) *
The People Under the Stairs (1991) *
Death Becomes Her (1992)
Raising Cain (1992)
Army of Darkness (1993) *
Judgment Night (1993)
Matinee (1993)
Demon Knight (1995)
Tales from the Hood (1995)
Village of the Damned (1995)
Bordello of Blood (1996)
The Frighteners (1996) *
Virus (1999)

* Indicates titles previously released on Blu in the US
As long as they haven't been released on Blu before, I'm fine with them releasing any (preferably all) of them.

The only previously released on Blu exception I'd make is Army Of Darkness, because they could do a collector's edition that includes the director's cut.

I'd like to know this as well. Judgement Night was a movie I used to watch frequently as a kid. If Universal still has it, I would love to see a Scream/Shout release.

Warner Bros aquired the Largo Entertainment/JVC Catalog, with the exception of the titles Largo produced for Sony (Omega Doom/Under Presure) and G.I. Jane @ Disney and Mulholland Falls @ MGM.

Point Break/Dr Giggles/Unlawful Entry/The Getaway(1994) & Judgment Night all @ Warner Bros.

Yep love it too. If Mad Max, EFNY are Scream titles then so could No Escape. Also would like Runaway (Tom Selleck) and Wedlock (Rutger Hauer)

I think the Watcher in question is the Universal one from 1998, with Marisa Tomei.

Vice Squad and Nighthawks would both make amazing Scream Factory Collector's Editions, they're just so funking good!
And they have enough horror elements that they would fit just as well as, say, Assault on Precinct 13.

I honestly don't know which one whomever posted is referring to. lol.

That would be my closest guess since it's the only film by that name that Universal has.
The current blu-ray is fine though. IMO.

I really wonder if they'll cave and release Psycho IV and Bates Motel, especially with Psycho turning 55 this year.
