Troll was a very unique idea and decent mid-80s type of movie for what it is. House is another of its type. Troll 2 is garbage... I never bought the whole "its so bad is great" thing - its just bad.

I'd be down for Troll, but I really just want them to do The Dalling/Alien Predators. Very cool/fun/bloody 80s horror, MGM title that already has an HD master made for streaming. Should be a no-brainer.

So Bubba Ho-Tep is with Don now rather than MGM? That's possibly a shame, given the situation with Phantasm
What situation? Please advise.

Phantasm is with Don but I heard distribution rights are with Image. Same for Parts 3,4 etc

I watched the HD streaming version on NetFlix a few years ago and it nearly put me to sleep. Very uneventful movie, but I did like the cast (Lynn-Holly Johnson, Dennis Christopher, Martin Hewitt).

I would give it another try if they did a double feature though, as there were a lot of great little gems from MGM on NetFlix that had never made it to DVD. The Immortalizer, Bikini Island, and Blood Games would get my vote for a Scream Factory release.

**NEW TITLE ANNOUNCE!**

As some of you may already know, this past weekend our friends over at Twilight Time DVD Label announced that they would be bringing the 1970 AIP chiller COUNT YORGA, VAMPYRE to Blu-ray on 10/13. Well, if you can’t get enough of the bloodsucking shenanigans then step right up to watch its sequel! We have the rights to its 1971 follow-up THE RETURN OF COUNT YORGA, and will also be releasing it on Blu-ray on 10/13. Pre-order links will go up next month.

Although THE RETURN OF COUNT YORGA was not as good as the original movie I will add it to my collection, it's way better than THE DEATHMASTER man did they ever waaaaayyyy over used the stock footage from the first movie.

I am sure this has been brought up, but what about FLATLINERS? Who owns the rights to that?

It was released by Sony in 2007, who then licensed it to Mill Creek in 2014.

It's akin to Mad Max, what with the same actor playing similar characters in Road Warrior and Beyond Thunderdome. Or even the View Askewniverse, with (insert non Jay or Silent Bob actor) playing (insert Mallrats character) and (insert Clerks II character).

I have no clue to whom the rights may have reverted, and I doubt this is very high on Scream Factory's (or anyone else's) shopping list, but this might be more available than previously believed.

Ha, I'm a fan of The Mangler as well. It's not really good, but there's just something giddily fun about watching a giant machine monster eating people. And the DVD was only the R-rated theatrical cut - the unrated VHS director's cut had the cut gore reinstated.

The Laserdisc was the unrated version as well.

Speaking of MGM films, I think these are about all that is left for Scream to release from them

Species Box Set
Breeders
Misery (Collector's Edition)
The Curse/The Curse 2 Double Feature
Shredder
Manhunter (Collector's Edition with all cuts of the movie)
Night Visitor (1989)
Edge Of Sanity (Anthony Perkins)
Prom Night II
The House Where Evil Dwells
The Babysitter (1981)
Raw Meat
Sometimes They Come Back
Solarbabies

If Prom Night 2 was with MGM wouldn't we have had a release by now ?

Pre-orders for Jack's Back are now being accepted at Amazon. Release date is currently set for September 29th.

I might be wrong but, I don't seem to recall Scream ever mentioning anything about elements issues but simply just a later date than they originally had in mind.

There is a lot of stuff at MGM besides what you have listed here, especially if they keep releasing a variety of titles stretching before 1980. Raw Meat is probably with Kino.

What's up with TROLL? I am shocked it hasn't received the collector's edition treatment. Anyone think Kino will be releasing it instead?
