It would be Shout Factory announcing whatever is happening with Godzilla - not Scream Factory

I should sell my copy now before any announcement - I could probably get away with a healthy $50 since the lowest used copy is about $62 currently. Except, if Guardian doesn't get announced and someone actually buys my copy I'll be out of one of my favorite horror flicks .

The same reason why I'll just hold onto my copy.

Although I'm sure even if it does get announced there will be a lot of people that won't be aware of a pending release. I'm surprise by all of the SDCC guesses on Scream Factory's Facebook page for titles that are already out on Blu-ray. It's not that they want SF to re-release those titles since based on the comments those people weren't even aware that some of these titles even had a Blu-ray release. Even worse when people are guessing things like From Beyond, The Sentinel and People Under the Stairs.

The requests on their Facebook page do my head in. Perhaps the highlight was someone asking for more Vincent Price titles, namely Madhouse, House of the Long Shadows and Twice-Told Tales I think it was.

If you're that into Blu-ray so as to post on a particular label's Facebook page, I really don't understand why you wouldn't think of coming on this site to keep yourself informed of new and upcoming releases.

Im with you on that , the guesses are so pathetic, everything from titles owned by Lionsgate Warner, Twilight Time, not in the era window. If these guys are horror fans how could they NOT know who has what ? Nobody even reads the comments, and just ask for the same title shot down again..

I think its more of what they want more than actually taking a guess.

No harm in that... The average collector probably doesn't know who holds the rights to every horror movie, nor which companies SF is likely to sublicense from. I don't quite get why there are so many requests for movies that already have Blu-ray releases, though.

Yes, but with some simple research and reading posts they could figure it out - these are hororr fans and they dont know the ones already on bluray ? Look at all the requests for Fright Night and Christine, come on !
They can type Critters on Google, check the links they get and see that Warner owns it.
Shout has asked for guesses not wish lists. Some want titles that others released because they want the Scream treatment which is artwork and a slipcover

It's understandable everyone might not know what studios currently hold the rights to what films but they should be aware of what titles SF has already released or has announced for release.

Jesus, I remember buying that for less than $5 at walmart ages ago.
Really not worth more than $5 to be honest.

Well, that invalidates three of my previous guesses. I'll go ahead and replace those with three equally lazy guesses.

MGM/UA:

The Dunwich Horror (1970)
Carrie (1976)
Lady in White (1988)
The Resurrected (1992)

Fox:

Warning Sign (1985)
The Fly II (1988)

Universal:

The Car (1977)
Ghost Story (1981)
Nightmares (1983)
Village of the Damned (1995)
Cherry Falls (2000)
Session 9 (2001)
Slither (2006)

So funny. There are probably hundreds of these folks on Facebook (certainly more than on forums such as this one) who aren't even aware that some of these have already been released. Imagine tens of thousands of people suddenly becoming aware of companies like Code Red buying up all those extra DVDs lying around collecting dust. Bill's gonna have to hire an army of helpers
