I think with Scream Factory titles. Your probably guaranteed to get the slips from Amazon. I've ordered titles over a year after their release and still got the slip.

I got NOTD a few weeks ago from Deep Discount and I got a slipcover. I also got slipcovers for From Beyond, EFNY, Phantom of the Paradise and Ginger Snaps.

Amazon has the lowest probability of getting a slip of anywhere. They have the most orders, the most lax return policy, and usually amongst the lowest prices. Whatever allotment Amazon get's is almost always going to go quicker than anywhere else, meaning they'll have to place a 2nd or 3rd order and thus may not have slips later on. If you want to increase your odds of getting a slip on an order, Amazon would be the absolute dead last place a person should choose.

Honestly, if you want piece of mind just shell out an extra $10 on eBay. I bought The Funhouse for $30 shipped on there, since I didn't wanna try my chances. VERY nice for that one dude whose copy of Funhouse came with a slip through Amazon! Lucky! |

A couple of months ago, I bought a bunch of CE titles from Best Buy. They all came with slip covers. They Live came with the Buy sticker, but the slip cover was a little too beat up for my tastes. I sent an email to Shout Factory for a replacement slip cover and they sent me one without the Buy sticker. I still have the one with the Buy sticker in between posters that are in a frame. I put it there to smooth out the edges. What's the big deal with They Live having the Buy sticker?

I've bought over the last several months, Body Bags, The Funhouse, Halloween 2, Pumkinhead, and Prince of Darkness from Amazon. All came with a slip. Of course, it's a total hit or miss to get a 2-3 year old SF release with a slip. I would've traded any one of them if They Live would've came with one. That was the only one I've ordered from Amazon that didn't, although it did come with the Buy sticker on the wrapper.

I'm not too sure. I sent them photos of the slip cover for They Live because it came damaged. And they replied back saying that they were going to ship the replacement slip cover. They didn't ask for my address, but they did say that they were going to give me the slip cover because I had bought off their website recently. That's how they knew my address. They must have searched up my name. I had bought 8 titles before I sent my email. I'm pretty sure if I hadn't bought any Blu-ray's from their website, they weren't going to send anything. About half of those titles were preorders directly from their site.

I ordered They Live from Amazon about 1-2 months ago & it came with the slip & buy sticker but if it didn't it wouldn't have been a big deal to me. If I get one with a slip for a nice price on eBay, I'll go for it but I won't pay more then $5 or so extra for it. If it's $10 or more I'll just go with one that doesn't have a slip.

I got my Deep Discount order over the weekend; The Burning and Terror Train both came with slips! Unfortunately Night of the Demons did not. That one stings because I love both sides of the reversible cover art and I can't use both of them like I wanted.
Now I'm just waiting on my Sleepaway Camp/Lake Placid Amazon order to come in and I'm hoping they won't let me down. |

A couple people have mentioned The Burning recently. That one has been on my radar. Is it worth a blindbuy? Keep in mind, I'm pretty easy with the 80s horror. Have probably about 30 scream releases, maybe more and I've enjoyed most, if not all of them so far.

hmmm i guess if you have that many scream releases. its a good gory horror set at summer camp. a little slow, but will make up for it with that scene in the middle of the lake.

If you like 80s horror (and slashers in particular) The Burning should be a solid blind buy for you.
