This board has been a ghost town in recent months! It was always my first 'go-to' place when i look at the forums! Shame!

I was thinking the same thing. Thought about posting something but wanted to see if this thread could make it a full week with no activity. It pretty much did.

I say bring back Friday announcements. They put out enough titles per month these days to warrant it.

By next weekend (so the first week of February) we should know May's releases, given that listings are due to go up on Amazon and such. You'll Like My Mother will almost certainly be one of them, but that still leaves room for another 3 or 4. And bear in mind, there are only 3 other unscheduled retro titles we know about:

Lady in White
Return of the Living Dead (CE)
Manhunter (CE)

I expect it's a little early for Manhunter, but the other two are possible. Still, that might leave room for a surprise or two, which Scream could well announce over the next week.

Amazon.ca has Lady in White listed for March 15th.

Apparently that was a mistake. Scream have since said it would be 'late Spring/early Summer', which I suppose should be May or June really.

Has there been any word on whether they're including both cuts?

No word yet to my knowledge. We usually hear about specs about six weeks before release, but I imagine they'll be able to confirm quite early what version(s) of the film will be on there.

It's really nice to see Shout/Scream really upping their game lately when it comes to the PQ of their discs.

Any chance we could get a disclaimer on the front page that mentions when scream Factory started shrink wrapping slip covers to collectors editions. It comes up occassionaly and I myself often forget. I recently ordered 6 titles from Wal-Mart and every one came with a slip. One of the titles was Cat People which I was assuming was old enough that it wouldn't have had one on arrival, but then I thought it might have been the first to shrinkwrap, so it'd be nice to have a one stop location to trigger my brain when I forget.

Except Jack's Back still has the same ole compression issues, so they haven't really "upped" anything.

I believe Cat People was the first, if I remember correctly.

Garbage Pail Kids was shrinkwrapped twice, both under the slipcover and over it. Not sure if that is the new norm for Scream's Collector's Editions.

I think it is. My CE of Motel Hell and Tales from the Crypt Demon Knight/Bordello of Blood all came shrinkwrapped over the slip cover. Does anyone know when they started doing this? I tried ordering Sleepaway Camp a couple weeks ago and it came sans slip.

Does anyone know how the transfer/audio on Screams "Demon Knight" compare to the Australian release?

I didn't realize 'Sonny Boy" had received a MOD DVD release last year. I hope Scream Factory also picks up "The Falling" (aka Alien Predator) as well, which also received an MGM MOD release. Trans World released both so I think it's a good bet.

There's a few MGM MOD's which might appeal to Scream, should there be HD masters available:

Daughters of Satan (1972)
Windows (1980)
The Falling (AKA Alien Predator) (1985)
The Caller (1987)
The Ambulance (1990)
Buried Alive (1990)
Mom (1991)
Panga (1991)
Dance Macabre (1992)

The Falling is being released in Germany this year, and The Ambulance has a release in Japan, so those two might be possible at least.

That would be great. The Ambulance, too. New Years Evil had an MOD shortly before their blu, so they're not totally adverse to doing that sort of thing.

That's quite a lineup! If Shout picks up even a third of these I'll be very happy I think anything that has had a MOD release in the last few years is likely to receive a BD upgrade, especially if they're genre titles.

I am still waiting for a Blu of "The Evil". This would make a perfect double feature with "House on Skull Mountain".

Bring it on!
