Forgot some:

Frankenstein: The True Story (1973)
Bates Motel (1987)
Bay Coven (1987)
Snow White: A Tale of Terror (1997)

Tomorrow maybe? They may just go out with a bang.

And then I'll preorder Hellhole, Bad Moon, The Boy Who Cried Werewolf, Texas Chainsaw 2, Nighthawks, No Way Out, and maaaaaybe Disturbing Behavior, though I feel that I really have no need to check that one out.

Default April Fool's Day ( 1986)

Loved this movie as a kid and still love it today. Perfect blend of mystery and slasher. Amazing twist ending. Wish Scream/Shout could get this from Para punt. Anyone know if this might happen? If not, any reason why?

Last year I asked about it on Synapse's Facebook and, like zbinks said, they told me it was with Lionsgate.

Would be an ideal title for Scream. Hopefully it'll be released one day. Can't find either previous DVD release anywhere for a reasonable price.

April Fool's Day was one of the Paramount titles that had been licensed to Warner Brothers as part of their huge distribution deal. The DVD rerelease appears to have gone OOP, so that portion of their licensing deal may have already ended. Shout! Factory had licensed titles from Paramount before (Walking Tall Trilogy, The Duellists), but it's been a few years. At this point, I think it's more likely to not be released to Blu-Ray, at all, or to be released by Olive or whichever company replaces Warner Brothers as Paramont's back catalog distributor.

I'm not big on April Fool's, but today would be the perfect day to announce an upcoming release of the Director's Cut of Exorcist III. They should just say they're going to release it and then not say anything else about it until the preorder goes up.

People's reactions would be hilarious.

I watched my DVD last night, and I'm always impressed by how strong the production values are. You can tell it had a bit more money put into it than a lot of '80s slasher movies. The cinematography is pretty solid, too. I bet it would look great remastered in HD.

It aired a year or two ago on IFC , El Rey Network, or Epix in HD. (I forget which network, so I'd have to check my copy as I'm pretty sure it has a station logo). I capped it because I suspected it may not show up again (if ever) and thus far it would appear that I'm correct. The HD presentation wasn't flawless by any means, but it was still a noticeable upgrade over the dvd's and better then some other lower tier Horror we've had releases of over the last several years. This would be a perfect release for Scream Factory and one that I'd happily snatch up as well.

It would appear the long awaited Blu Ray's for Jaws 2-4 may be finally happening in Australia on June 2nd. Could a surprise US announcement be far behind? I'd wager no, but it's anyone's guess at this point.

Is Universal releasing them over there, or did they license them out?

All the knowledge I have is in those listing for Jbhifi, so I really don't know. I stumbled across the listings a short while ago and came here to share the news, but as far as I know no official press release has been issued or "official" information has been shared. The timing makes me wonder if a Comic Con announcement for the US isn't possible though.

Horrendous and lazy art work, need the Jaws 2 art with the shark behind the water skier, the Jaws 3 art with a water skier rescuing a person in the water, and the Jaws 4 art with Ellen confronting the shark with a spear for all 3 blu-rays.

It very clearly says that the artwork is not final. These are placeholder designs based off of the DVD's.

I would LOVE a blu-ray of Frankenstein: The True Story.

The Jaws movies too, with 3 in 3D.
