Hellions is an interesting film, while I didn't really like it by the end I think it's definitely worth a watch and at the price it's at it wouldn't be a waste of money. I had two issues with it, one being the weird ass bland filter they kept applying to try and evoke a 'dream' setting and the other being the ending, it just kind of put me off. Curse/Curse 2 I haven't heard anything really positive about. Edge of Sanity is supposed to be really interesting and if you like Anthony Perkins then it's worth picking up. It's high on my list of stuff to purchase from SF. I haven't seen Disturbing Behavior since it was released and I don't remember liking it all that much. Cherry Falls seems to be getting quite a bit of positive press since it's BD release, I will probably pick that one up eventually too.
Thanks for the info, I will be keeping it in mind as I make my decisions during this sale.

While some of the prices are average, if you can find two things you like Shipping will be free which might help some. If it works out, I'll grab Village of the Damned and The Serpent and the Rainbow (possibly TCM2 as well) if they are available at the same time. My gut tells me that each of the single titles will only be available for one day however and it's unlikely I'll be able to snag both, but we'll see.

My Lord of Illusions bluray finally arrived from the Amazon sale! And to my surprise it does include a slip.

El Rey had a Jean Claude Van Damme marathon this weekend. I was a huge fan as a kid and still am to this day. No denying the guy did a lot for the martial arts genre in the west in the late 80's early 90's. Anyway, I checked out the sci-fiish, post apocalyptic martial arts flick Cyborg for the first time in a few years, and thought this is a movie that Shout/Scream should try to get. Yes it is already available on blu. However, there is a director's cut Albert Pyun released a few years ago that gives the movie a much different/darker tone. I also remember reading something about some extra blood and gore scenes that still haven't been reinstated. It would be cool if Shout/Scream could release both the theatrical and the director's cuts on blu. It's a Cannon film that MGM has the rights to. Although I'm not sure they are willing to license out any of their Van Damme properties. Throw in some new special features to make it sweeter. I'd love to see an interview with Vincent Klyn (Fender) where someone asks him what the hell was going on with his character's voice and crazy eyes lol. Maybe even Van Damme himself would be willing to talk about the film. El Rey did have a cool promo with him this weekend.

Sure he did, you can too...you just won't get the sale price..AMZ has these SF titles at higher prices. Check it out..the only ones without shipping dates are the sale priced ones..not the first time i've seen this, i'm in the same boat. Nothing has shipped, no shipping dates, and again today I got an email about Lord of Illusions and Shocker asking me if I still wanted them...

UHhh..I ordered them, so yeah, I still want them.

If they can get the director's cut, I'd love to see a Cyborg rerelease.

Damn. Was hoping there would be some titles I'd want this summer but the only ones I'd really be interested in (Village of the Damned, Prince of Darkness) I already have. Might grab The Serpent and the Rainbow if I can but otherwise it looks like this sale will leave me free to get some other releases coming out this summer that I want.

Message Cmac on this forum. He is the Shout Factory insider and visits occasionally. If anyone would care enough to do something about it, I'd imagine it's him.

On the flip side, I'd LOVE to be a Scream Factory reviewer and would HAPPILY go all out on reviews if given the chance. Not sure why someone would jeopardize their access to free screeners but not re-viewing them.

I think they wait if you use a card, but I use Paypal so you pay right away.

Thanks for the heads up on this; ordered Terror Train after seeing this post - great price. received it today with a slip. nice!

Default Dungeon master

If anyone is planning on getting the dungeonmaster/ eliminator from the sale.. I just got my copy from amazon and I just finished the dungeonmaster. .. and I must say that it's very amusing and fun to watch.. it's not the best movie.. and it is cheesy but it doesn't ever take itself seriously. . So with that I think it's an awesome blind buy.. I'm very pleased

Does anyone knows what the deal with Jeeper Creepers is? I preordered it from Amazon a while back and was supposed to get it on release day but it never came. They are now out of stock and it appears Best Buy and other online retailers are out of stock as well

I wonder if JC1 was recalled because of the lack of it being shrinkwrapped.

There's no way it's sold out. This has to do with the lack of shrink wrap as Ron Zoso pointed out I'm sure.
