This is correct. Well, maybe Savage Harvest since it's MGM (I think). But all the others are with studios that don't license.

Misery: Collector's Edition is a good bet. So is Silence of the Lambs. The Poltergeist sequels would be a dream come true for me. Can't really think of anything else.

Savage Harvest is with Fox, and looks impossible due to prominent use of Beatles' music. Shout have tried before but sadly this obstacle appears insurmountable.

SCREAM FACTORY
- Species (CE) just to round out that franchise
- Poltergeist II & III (CE) they have a good enough relationship with MGM this should be a no brainer, especially given MGM's barebones release a short while ago.
- Dead Ringers (CE) Always hope Criterion would release this again, this time on blu. But I'll happily take a Scream Factory CE
- SOMETHING John Carpenter They've been slowing burning their way through his catalog, so why not something new. 'Memories Of An Invisible Man' is with Universal and has never seen the light of blu. Maybe a CE of 'Escape From LA'? AN updated blu for 'Ghosts Of Mars'?

SHOUT SELECT
- Freejack If we now have access to some Morgan Creek films, why the hell not?

WISHLIST (all doubtful, but a boy can dream)
- Wishmaster
- Wishmaster 2
- Phantasm boxset
- Dawn Of The Dead (CE)

How many are supposed to be collector sets? 4-5, right? I can't imagine lesser titles getting the special treatment so these would have to be decent films like a Species or Tales From the Hood or another Carpenter film. Not saying it is one of those, but that it should be something popular, right?

Escape from LA is with Warner through Paramount and Ghosts of Mars is with Sony
Wishmaster 1/2 is with Lionsgate
Dawn of the Dead is with the producer who wants too much money for it

Phantasm is coming from someone, maybe Arrow will announce it today with the HG Lewis set..
or maybe not today

The Blob (1988) - Is that a possibility? I have the Twilight Time release but would double dip for a Scream Factory CE. I've always wanted to see some behind the scenes footage and features focusing on the FX work

Would love to see Razorback, Screamers, maybe Leatherface too. Scream has had an incredible run this year with some really great big name releases and announcements. I'm hoping today's announcements can live up to the anticipation level around here.

The Blob is definitely not happening. TT has three years on that one. There can't be another release until October 2017.

Razorback's been available for quite some time here in Australia, and the bluray is region free. It's not rare, I could drive 5 mins from my house and get a copy. I'm sure you could find it somewhere online if you want it.

Unless you're asking specifically for an SF release?

Obviously for US only? I picked up a new release of the Blob from Germany recently. Haven't watched it yet, don't think it really has any extras but the packaging is nice, I guess.

It may technically be region free but the disc is unfortunately done at 1080i/50Hz so pretty much useless for people in North America to import.

Announcements today? Are they going to be revealed throughout the day or they have a panel they will be releasing the information. I am just hoping for a few unexpected releases.

Just to expand my knowledge, what's the issue with playing 1080i from an import? I would have thought with the countless blurays I've acquired from different regions (including some 1080i releases) without issues playing anything here would've also been fine for you guys?~

Your tv's don't handle 50Hz well?

You live in Australia (I live in Sweden btw). DVD players as well as blu-ray players in our neck of the woods have always handled both 60Hz as well as our native 50Hz without issue since our players are manufactured to do so. In North America there are players and TVs that can handle 50Hz but they aren't all that common and when incompatible they choke on those discs.
