Motel Hell's release is only about 2 years old, so that's the one you'll have the best chance of getting a slip with. The Fog is pretty iffy since it's older than Motel Hell. Deadly Blessing, you're more likely to find a needle in a haystack than a slip-covered copy since that's one of SF's earliest releases.

Thats funny. I have been trying to get ahold of them all week about an exchange for my damaged Bill & Ted set. They are being pretty unprofessional to me.

You really think he has a shot at a slipcover of a two-year-old release? I emailed Shout to ask about my chances at an Army of Darkness slipcover and they weren't exactly encouraging, citing a production period of three months for slipcovers.

I think with Motel Hell you have a reasonable shot. I recently picked one up with slip at a local shop and they restocked 2 more with slips. I don't think this one was a big seller.

The most rare/most expensive ones I think I've seen sell for really high are They Live, Assault on Precinct 13, The Fog and Lifeforce and Night of the Comet.

I've seen people post here about getting releases even older than that with slips on them. Usually from Amazon, but some other places too.

Last week I received Phantom of the Paradise, Prince of Darkness, and Pumpkinhead all with slips from Amazon.ca, so there's always a chance. I'm pretty sure I received one a couple of months ago with Escape from New York.

Stoked to get my LE The Thing package today. Not as stoked that the posters weren't packed carefully enough and there's bent and creased corners.

About a month or two ago, I got Terror Train with a slip from Amazon.

You never know.

Sorry to hear that. My experience was much better but I hope it works out for you.

I should be getting The Thing tomorrow.

Mine didn't come with one. But I got one for Assault on Precinct 13. Same for Escape from New York and I got all three of those titles from Wal-Mart. I felt lucky to get a slip with two of the three.

Are any of the IFC, Chiller, or other non classic movies in Screams lineup really good?

I'd easily recommend Baskin and The Babadook though both seem to have their fair share of people that either didn't get the films or they just didn't click with them.

Out of the ones I've seen I would say that The Babadook is the best, Backcountry was pretty good, Bite has a decent second half, Baskin I really enjoyed, The Battery is amazing low budget zombie film. The Hallow has some really good creature effects and some fun lore. Hellions could have been better but has some good moments in it. Stung wasn't great but again some cool effects and Wyrmwood is like a lowbudget version of Evil Dead and Mad Max mixed together, fun but not a movie I'll watch a lot in the future.

I've heard good things of Larry Fessenden's Beneath, The Boy is supposed to be half way decent. The upcoming Carnage Park I have high hopes for. Submerged I've heard was good.

Bite, Baskin, The Hollow, Fender Bender & Funhouse Massacre are all pretty good I thought. Slasher season 1 also.

I read in this thread that Shout does not charge your credit card for pre-orders until it ships, however I was charged right away when I pre-ordered Carrie and The Thing last night. I have not received any shipping notices, so have they just changed things up with regard to when your card gets charged?

Apparently they don't charge until shipping. How would we know this I have no idea.

I'm going through a big issue with them right now because they canceled my order of The Thing after authorizing on my card at least twice since I ordered in June. I thought it was all paid and okay since I seen the charge on there in August. Few weeks ago had to cancel my card. Now I look and the order is canceled because apparently it still hadn't been properly charged after all this time.

I am emailing them hoping to get another chance to pay from a different card but they haven't responded yet. I'm getting really frustrated because A) I had no reason to think it would take them this long to charge the card even after multiple pre-authorizations and B) they never notified me there was an issue and gave me a chance to fix it just outright canceled the order after all this time.

I imagine this has happened before and these cases would easily be solved if they would just charge the card when an order is placed for pre-order and not at some random unpredictable time 3 months later.

Beneath is an interesting one. It doesn't have a likable character in the film but it's got some good creature effects (all practical) and it's enjoyable in a trashy sort of way.

Scream Factory has created a poll to decide which "lesser" titles to release as limited edition Blus. Vote away!

https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/CGDYT8F

Quote:
***POLL-TIME.***
We have existing rights for some rather obscure Scream Factory-appropriate titles that we are discussing releasing to the Blu-ray format for the first time in 2017 and we’d love your input! You can take the survey @ https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/CGDYT8F

We want to make our decision based on which ones have the most excitement and sales potential attached to them…so that’s where you factor in. The five top winners will be announced in the future after they are scheduled.

One entry please. Poll will end tomorrow AM.

Titles include:
1. Alienator (1990)
2. Angry Red Planet, The (1959)
3. Arena (1989)
4. Bat People, The (1974)
5. Contamination 7 (AKA: The Crawlers) (1993)
6. Four Skulls of Jonathan Drake, The (1959)
7. I Bury the Living (1958)
8. Invasion of the Bee Girls (1973)
9. Man From Planet X, The (1951)
10. Naked Cage, The (1986)
11. Screaming Skull, The (1958)
12. Vagrant, The (1992)
13. Vampire, The (1957)
14. Vicious Lips (1986)
15. What's the Matter With Helen (1971)

You are welcome to leave comments in the Facebook thread of course, but the votes will be tallied off the actual survey page.

Thanks and hope your favorites make the cut!
If anyone cares, I voted CONTAMINATION .7, THE VAGRANT, ARENA, THE NAKED CAGE and INVASION OF THE BEE GIRLS. :-)
