Probably good to see that the Limited Editions are selling. Maybe they will pick some previously unreleased movies and a Limited run.
Sucks to hear for people who wanted the release. Always a bummer when things go OOP. |

Maybe Scream will press another 1000 copies of the Deathstalker double feature because it sold so well.

Is it me or have things been pretty quiet since Comic Con? We've had the limited editions and the improved re-releases but it seems like there hasn't been nearly as much chatter or excitement since the launch of the Vestron Label. Improved Collectors editions are great and all, but they don't typically keep excitement/discussion going for very long between announcement and release. Hopefully Scream Factory has taken another look at the Corman library and has continued their efforts to purchase the library or (possibly even more exciting) they have deals worked with Paramount and just have to wait until January to announce them. Right now my top two wants for 2017 from Scream Factory continue to be Tales from Hood (Universal) and Sorority House Massacre II (Corman) but oh how excited would I be for Tales from the Darkside: The movie, Pet Cemetery II, My Blood Valentine, etc etc. A Deal with Paramount would certainly give Lionsgate/Vestron a run for it's money.

Well, the introduction of the Vestron line has pretty much thrown a monkey wrench into the mix and kind of taken up the limelight. One of the new line's advantages over Scream Factory is the Vestron stuff has begun rolling out soon after the announcement was made, while most of Scream Factory's comic con announcements are slated for next year. The initial Vestron batch will run dry by the end of this year and I don't expect more titles to be released for a while - this is where SF comes in. There needs to be a regular rotation of releases beginning in January to cover the gap. SF could start the year with a bang with a couple of high-profile titles and some nice surprises. There's room enough for everybody - as long as the titles are exciting

It would pretty much destroy the idea that this line is worth paying a premium price for because it's limited if they did. I know Twilight Time gets away with doing encore editions sometimes, but Scream's limited line isn't nearly as well established.
