Excellent aside from some extremely mild sharpening. Don't listen to people saying the colors are wrong, the outside shots are supposed to be bluish.

I would probably add Army of Darkness, Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2, and The Thing in there as well. Those releases are stacked with extras.

Hello all. Just placed an order threw amazon. Robo Cop 2 & 3 (I had to have part 3 for completest sake.), Frailty, The Vagrant, Firestarter, and Tales from the Hood.
I have never seen The Vagrant. I'm a huge Bill Paxton fan and the reviews look promising. Plus I think it has Michael Ironside. I like him too, so that movie is the one I'm most excited for, to watch first. I'm done buying even if there is a sale though. Just too many sales going on around this time and I already invested in the Vinegar Syndrome sale.

I've loved The Vagrant since I was young & Michael Ironside is hysterical in it also as the detective. The film reminds me of a longer tales from the crypt ep. If you like comedy/horror and both those actors I'm almost positive you will love this one. Firestarter is another great release and was a nice upgrade from the previous blu. Tales from the hood & Serial Mom may be the best CE's we get this year.

So it's a good enough release to pick up now or just wait for Arrow? Not really familiar with Arrows work, would they really make the product that much better?

Arrow is great, they do top notch work. But I also have no complaints though with Screams release of The Thing. It's one of their best releases, I had the older universal blu of The Thing also and screams disc is def better.

At this point I'd say it's up to you, but there is nothing wrong with the scream release imo. That release was one of the best releases of last year.

If you want the film this moment just go w the scream release, tons of features also.

It appears that the next Collector's Edition(s) will appear in October's line-up, confirming there won't be any added for September:

I know some don't want films already on blu-ray but I'm really hoping for Child's Play or Jaws sequels CE.

No reason not to wait and compare before purchase. SF's version may be fine-ish but Arrow's may be better without any caveats.

There are so many small things in "The Vagrant" that are hilarious. Paxton's name being Graham Krakowski, the real estate agent who wants to have sex with Paxton, Ironside mentally undressing Paxton's girlfriend, Paxton's batty neighbor, Paxton's boss taking the doll off of someone's computer monitor and throwing it in the trash. I also love when Paxton's boss asks him, "How'd you like to see yourself get a promotion?" Paxton nods eagerly. Then, he asks him, "How'd you like to see yourself get fired?" haha.

for anyone wondering, the Naschy set is the same format as the Price sets - thick blue case and booklet housed in a slipcover.

Lifeforce with the slip. This was the hardest one for me to find at a reasonable price.

These are solid choices. I'd probably swap out Tales From The Hood and Demon Knight with Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 and Return of the Living Dead for my top 5. I'm a huge fan of Pumpkinhead too. First view was the Scream Factory release and it's pretty unique and very rewatchable.

Man, Return of the living Dead was a movie I loved as a kid, I'm taking like 8 yrs old. I picked up the standard blu a couple of years ago, after not watching it for some years, and was completely let down. Maybe something's wrong me. So I passed on the Scream edition. I thought about picking it up for collectors sake but that's just not how I roll.

Pumpkinhead, I love that evil demon shit. Yeah, there's something wrong with me.
