Given that Scream have never done a CE for a film made prior to the 70s, I really can't see them doing that for the Universal sci-fi flicks. That's not to say they couldn't get them (providing Universal don't have any plans), but I really wouldn't expect them to get the deluxe treatment (though a box set would be nice).

I have the Indicator release of Happy Birthday to Me, but I'd probably double dip if Scream got it. I had been waffling on whether to pick up the Indicator Christine, but I'm glad I haven't!

Just skip to the end. The only in-depth conversation I've ever had about the remake is whether the last shot is better than the one in the original.

That's most likely the case. There's no way they spent money on any of those shows for home video.

But I was under the influence that shows like Alex /mack and Clarissa were on video or at least edited on the format. but now that you bring this up, maybe the worn masters just make 35mm look like shit.

"Clarissa" probably was shot on video, I assume just because it is shot pretty sitcom style *and* video-effects-heavy. I was thinking of "Pete and Pete", which I'm pretty sure was shot on film; a different forum I was on reminded me that when they used to air repeats on The N, there was one episode where you could actually watch the master slowly deteriorate over the months, and sure enough, the same flaw popped up on the DVD.

Though I might be the only one that cares about the sequals, but a Vampires box set with the original, Vampires: Los Muertos, and Vampires: The Turning would be cool

I Know What You Did Last Summer and Urban Legend trilogies would be amazing.

The remake of April Fool's Day too!

The blu-ray of Wolf is just bareboned and needs extras it deserves as i enjoyed it since i was 13 when i saw that movie in theaters.

I'd love to see them do Heavy Metal CE with new 4K scan, same extras as earlier, some new ones, trailers, tv spots, poster and still gallery, Heavy Metal revisited documentary as a bonus disc and all that.

Maybe Perfect Blue in a CE with 2K remastering and extras galore be nice.

I'd upgrade them in a heartbeat. Alien Nation is in my top 3 tv shows of all time. It has one of my favourite lines from anything ever,

I love Los Muertos, but didn't know The Turning existed. I'll have to check that one out at some point.

For those interested, Indicator released Wolf with extras last year in a region-free Blu. A new documentary running nearly an hour was done with input from Rick Baker, producer David Wick and screenwriter Wesley Strick along with a half-hour's worth of archival interviews with input from cast and crew. There's also a trailer and image gallery. I can't imagine much more would be done for a film that got a fairly tepid response from critics and audiences alike (the fact that none of the actors contributed to the new documentary would seem to indicate they wouldn't be receptive to any new overtures from Scream). The transfer was apparently sourced from the same master as the original barebones Sony Blu from 2009 and looks essentially the same.

It's a cult film you know and some cult films have CEs!

I'd love to see a 2K or 4K scan remastering.

How about we ask for some unreleased titles instead ? I really don't get why do many are asking for yet more double dips !

Really? Cult films have CE's? Where in my post do I deny that (especially since I just detailed one)? I simply stated that a new documentary had input from Baker, Wick and Strick; how many more principals do you think are out there waiting to chime in? None of the actors participated and I can't imagine it was because they weren't asked. Scream could conceivably come up with a new supplement or two, but not much more that that. As for a remaster, if Sony didn't provide one to Indicator for their release, I doubt they're going out of their way to provide one for Scream...if a collector's edition even happens.
