Id love to finally get that one on BD to have the complete BD trilogy. It also helps that I enjoy all 3 films.

Urban Legend and Valentine SE's would be my guess. Would be happy with those.

Stepfather boxset would be awesome too.

Urban Legend i want but not Valentine which i found disappointing.

Yes, we need Stepfather sequels badly on BD in one set.

I really enjoyed Valentine myself. I have seen it requested a fair few times.

Next few days will certainly be exciting......just not for the old wallet!

But if Valentine's got a director's cut i could see that as it felt cut.

For collector's editions .. these seem most realistic.. obviously not all them would be there.. just some of these seem like a safe bet..

Ps set realistic hopes.. and you won't be so disappointed..
Dreamcatcher is a safe bet, based on the trend of what they're currently announcing.

Paramount. I love the film, though, and have it on DVD (one of the few DVDs I still have). I'm just happy we have Part 2 from Olive. Seems like they don't release stuff like that anymore.

Kino might do it since they got a paramount deal now

For a while I considered picking up all the SF steelbooks and selling the original versions, but ultimately decided against it. And when I think about the 4K scans of Halloween 2 and 3, I wonder if they can really make 30+ year old films that much better. Ultimately I think I'll be passing on these since I own the black-case set as well as the original releases. I held on to the originals as they were the first releases from Scream Factory. So two versions is enough for me.

I can't help but wonder if these classic Warner titles we're all expecting--Alone in the Dark, Deadly Friend, etc--are going to stay with Warner and come out from Warner Archive Collection. The WAC is still going strong (Supergirl just announced), and they've released a number of good horror titles, to include New Line properties: Innocent Blood, Leatherface - Texas Chainsaw Massacre III, the Hidden, Body Snatchers, the Hunger, Night School... I guess a classic Warner title announcement will confirm SF's access, but maybe they're keeping the bigger stuff at home.

They're done with Paramount for now, bud. They hope to secure a new deal soon, but there is nothing else currently; no new announcements.

Interesting that in terms of non-steelbook releases we've had titles from the 50s, late 90s and 00s announced for October. Scream's usual eras of preference - the 70s, 80s and early 90s - are conspicuous by their absence so far. I have to think that will be rectified today.

Yeah I noticed that too. I don't have a problem with Shout picking up newer films (HoHH was a great announcement) - where I take issue is with them reissuing titles that have perfectly good Blu-rays already, like Trick or Treat. The steelbook reissues are a whole other ballgame and, I hope, separate from Shout's regular planned release schedule. I'd hate to have something like Halloween II take up a valuable slot on the regular lineup. As for 70's and 80's stuff I'm sure we'll get a fair share of them (hopefully)

Chances are Scream is third in line to get new, never on Blu-ray, titles. If normal WB doesn't want it, it is most likely offered to Warner Archive, but if Archive doesn't want it, then it goes to Scream/Shout. So it's all about who wants what.

Just finished catching up on a weekend's worth of posts. 110% in for House on Haunted Hill. Predicted/asked for that one a while back and very happy to see they're releasing something that hasn't been released.

Big fan of Trick R Treat but perfectly happy with my current blu. Very cool artwork but not enough of a reason for me to double dip. Also, as I've mentioned before, I barely even have time to watch the movies I buy these days let alone special features, so that doesn't sell me.

I'm predicting Thirteen Ghosts (2000s) and Feardotcom are following shortly. Ghost Ship will be further down the line. Not sure what's going on with the Sony deal but my gut is telling me that will be a longer wait and not as frequent distribution schedule.

This sounds accurate; I'm sure it's pretty close to the reality of it.

Thirteen Ghosts and Feardotcom would fit in with the titles that Warner Archive wouldn't necessarily want; I'm sure these were at least offered to Scream Factory. Wouldn't mind Feardotcom, as I like all new to Blu-ray films, for the most part.

I love everyone talking like the TRICK R TREAT release is just going to be the original Blu ray with new artwork. It's been announced as a collector's edition. Even if it doesn't have a new transfer (not that it needs one), it is more than likely going to have waaaaay more special features than the original release. Some of them likely brand new, filmed/recorded just for this release.

Which, for those of us who like special features, should be plenty of reason to double dip (especially since the original release was going for a mere 8 bucks within a year of street date....though now seems to be going for 15-28).

If you don't care about special features then...yeah, I guess don't spend your money on the new artwork??

The steelbooks seem like they'll continue to just be "supplemental" releases, and no replacing any "new" release slots in their line up. Though, not sure if that will change if the "all new 4k transfers" start becoming a part of all steelbook releases. Despite having the HALLOWEEN collection already, that SEASON OF THE WITCH steelbook will have to be a purchase for me.

Excited/curious to see what else they'll be releasing over the next several months.

Thirteen Ghosts was also already released (on it's on disc) by Warner Bros itself in a double feature with House of Wax. There would be no reason to re-release it as a Warner Archive title.

Speaking of Double dips (or in my case, a Triple dip since I also have the Canadian "Alliance" release) I wonder how long it will be until "The Cell" shows up as well. I'm perfectly content with the 2 Blu's I already have of the film but I could easily see that one getting a new release. I imagine the artwork/poster would likely prove to be just as good as Trick R Treats was/is.
