Creepshow is my all time favorite horror movie.

When our family got our very first VCR, we went to a Mom and Pop video rental store and came home with Jaws and Creepshow.

Jaws, because, well, it's Jaws.

Creepshow, because I remember being in the J.C. Penney book department (yes, they used to sell books), and being captivated by Bernie Wrightson's graphic novel adaptation. Being 10 years old, I figured I'd never be allowed to see this film, so coming home with the VHS a year or two later was like I'd hit the jackpot.

Anyway, I thought some of you might enjoy seeing my Creepshow collection. There are lots of people who have more than this, but I still am proud of what I have, and thankful to have it.

If you want to see the pics of my collection, click the spoiler tag below.

First up is an original 3-layered animation cel from the animation of the Creep in the final frames of the film.

Here's a display Case

Here is a closeup of the vinyl soundtracks, a sealed VHS, a replica prop of the Ashtray, some sculpted plaques and some pins and stickers.

Here are some replica comic books. The insides are reprints of old E.C. comics.

Here's some various home media and action figures. The Retroband figures are crazy hard to find. Anyone have the Jordy Verill?

If you made me pick a favorite segment, I'd have to choose Father's Day. Here is a Nathan mask, figure, and autographs from John Amplas and Tom Savini.

This closeup shows my CDs of the soundtrack, which I adore. Not just the amazing John Harrison score, but the stock music cues from the Capitol Library.

Here's a mask of Fluffy, some enamel pins, and signed prints.

Here's a signed print and some enamel pins. See that block of white wood? That is part of the door jamb from the original Creepshow House from the wraparound segment, as seen in the first shot of the film. I met the owners of the house at a Living Dead convention, and they were kind enough to invite us over. I've actually watched Creepshow inside the Creepshow House! Very surreal!

Here are some lobby cards, artwork, and a Tom Atkins autograph.

Tom Savini and Marty Schiff are two of the nicest, most approachable fellas you'd ever want to meet. If you've never been to the Living Dead Weekend in Pittsburgh, definitely put it on your list!

Here is a prop replica that no longer exists because I ate it. After years of hinting, I realized my family was never going to make me a replica of the Father's Day cake, so I made it myself.

I'm working on a Nathan Grantham costume.

I'll finish with an incredible memory made possible by some very special friends in Pittsburgh. I got to eat dinner with John Amplas (who played Nathan Grantham, and more famously, Martin in Romero's vampire film). It was a group dinner, and by sheer luck the dessert was.... cake. So, I got to eat cake with John Amplas!

********

Thanks for looking at my pics. I hope you enjoyed them, and I hope it gets you even more excited for this release. I know I'll be giving it a good home!

I already have Piranha II, House on Haunted Hill, and Trick 'r Treat pre-ordered, and I'll definitely get ROTLDII, In the Mouth of Madness, and the Lifeforce steelbook pretty soon. The other announcements have been sort of a mixed bag. TCM 4 is not my cup of tea, but it's awesome it's finally being released for those who want it and Exorcist II is an abomination and I have no idea why they're even bothering with it as it's notorious for being one of the worst horror movies ever made. As for the others, I'll probably pass on the H2/H3 steelbooks or maybe wait until I see screencap comparisons, and Mac and Me..I have no words This company sure loves to put out a lot of clunkers, don't they?

A couple of September titles that most posters aren't too excited about are "Scream for Help" and "Brain Dead". I've pre-ordered both and recommend them. "Scream for Help" is from Michael ("Death Wish") Winner, and is quite sleazy and fun. They wouldn't even make it, now. And I remember "Brain Dead" being funny and a real mind bender... Try them out.

It's only July 7, but this will be, by far, the coolest post that I see this whole month.

Creepshow really is a tremendous movie. I had owned the comic book for a while before I saw the movie, but I first saw it circa 1986-early 1987 when a friend recorded it for me from his HBO. The videotape had Stand By Me, Creepshow, and The Silver Bullet (back when you could set a videotape on Extended Play to record three movies on one tape).

The mid-to-late 1980s was such a golden time for horror and for Stephen King fans. My multiple viewings of Creepshow on that VHS tape was one of the most fun aspects of that era.

I actually wouldn't mind a Final Destination box set. I enjoyed these films but I only have a DVD of the first one and a BD of the 5th. All except the third film are hugely enjoyable. Haven't found a collection suitable enough for my library.

Yeah, there's lots of those multipacks everywhere. I guess I should pick one up to hold me off until a definitive set with individual cases for each film comes out, which is what I was looking for. But isn't there a film missing on that set?

I was thinking about getting the Creepshow LE from Shout's site along with the Night Of The Demons Steel but when I put it in cart it charged me $7 shipping...? I thought $50 got you free shipping? Decided against it because of that.

Bad move, SF.

It might be a problem with only those two titles as I believe you are the 2nd person that mentioned trying to buy those two titles and being charged shipping. I added Trick R Treat to Creepshow and got the free shipping.

Maybe since Night of the Demons already has free shipping by itself, their system isn't calculating it's cost as part of the $50 you need for it to give you free shipping on anything else you are trying to get with it.

2. 'The Burning' (please oh please make a Cropsey!!!)
3. 'Carrie' (original)
4. 'Day of the Dead' (more Bub figurines being produced is fine by me!)
5. 'Ghost Story' ( bring on ghost Eva!!! ...again, maybe too "obscure"...)
6. 'Ghoulies' ( I want them all haha. Play nice Charles Band and help make it happen!)
7. 'The Howling' ( Yes please!!! Those werewolf designs are the best!)
8. 'The Incredible Melting Man' (I'm not kidding. I want this!)
9. 'IT's ALIVE' (...once again a total pipe dream but I had to list it haha.)
10. 'Motel Hell' (Sure why not!)
11. 'NIGHTBREED' (Any monster from that film would make me a happy camper.)
12. 'Poltergeist 2' (a Kane figurine or any of the freaky ghost monsters would be great!)
13. 'The Return of the Living Dead' (Tarman or perhaps the two punk zombies from the poster art.)
14. 'SHOCKER' ( Yes, I want a Horace Pinker figurine packaged with knife and TV.)
15. 'The Slumber Party Massacre' (the killer (forget his name), with the drill gun.)
16. 'SQUIRM' (that poor guy with the worms protruding from his face, haha. ...again, would never happen as its too "out there".)
17. 'The Strangers' (all three killers in a boxed set, maybe?)
18. 'The THING' (Maybe a MacReady figurine packaged with any one of those thing creatures.)
19. 'TROLL' (Torok packaged with that talking mushroom creature would be suh-weet!)
20. 'Without Warning' (Yes! I want NECA to make that alien in toy form! Its the original predator alien!)

There, if I'm going to be dipping on these titles once again then throw some awesome horror figurines such as those I listed above! Oh, and since Scream Factory is adding a few B-movie classics such as 'The Wasp Woman' then I certainly wouldn't mind it if NECA were to have a hand in that as well! Need more 50's monster toys!
A cropsy figure would be brilliant.

Yeah it's missing the 5th film, but since you stated you already owned that one it sounds like it'd work great for now. It's what I have for the moment as well.

Thanks for looking at my pics. I hope you enjoyed them, and I hope it gets you even more excited for this release. I know I'll be giving it a good home!

Great collection and very well displayed.

I have a couple Creepshow items myself. Will try and post if it lets me.

Since SF might be releasing these in the future, I thought I would share some more of my collection.
