Personally, if Shout doesn’t want to give me the option of retailers, then I simply won’t give them the option in my budget. I want Valley Girl and Scream for Help but I have no qualms about waiting until next early year to get either when my budget will permit. That goes for whatever they announce tomorrow night, which to be frank, I will be focused on sleeping and will see everyone Saturday morning.
I think it's some kind of temporary punishment; that's what Jesse from Diabolik insinuated.

Not to be *that guy* but in all honestly DeepDiscount and Bullmoose are to blame, not Shout Factory!. If they had just waited to ship everything within their contract window bidding my release date, it wouldn't be an issue...

Meaning if Scream released this, would they be able to release it unaltered without having to do a whole brand new scan? I can't see them doing a new scan since this one seems relatively new.

Again, though, I am not too well versed.
The Oval is a result of digital tinkering that was done in an effort to improve the presentation of specific scenes but was apparently left on throughout the entire run time of the film. If Scream Factory is given the raw scan files the oval will not be present. If they are given the final Warner product however then the oval will be permanently in place regardless of whatever tweaking Scream Factory did. If given the opportunity I'm sure Scream Factory will create their own scan or at a minimum will request the raw files before any work was done in order to create their own presentation.

TCM3 without the horrible oval through half the movie would be great.

TCM 3 would've made a great Scream Factory CE. I appreciate that Warner makes an effort to release these movies on physical media but studio releases are just so boring. It's no different than buying detergent or toothpaste, know what I mean?

I hope Jesse is right. I'm cancelling my Amazon preorders and waiting until street date so I don't get charged $35

100% this.

Hey Scream could still do a TCM 3 in the future considering the Archive version was pretty crappy. Fingers crossed.

Same here don't mind the wait to save 10 to 12 dollars per title.

Every time I order from BullMoose, I always get it on street date. Never before and very rarely after. I guess the fact they ship it on Friday is “breaking” street date. USPS simply goes too fast I guess for some of us. Sure, some customers will receive it a day before street and I guess that’s where the punishment is coming from. Meanwhile, Shout offers it two weeks before street and a poster. It’s petty, is what is is. Amazon does that all the time for me, ships things out on Monday morning and I get them Tuesday afternoon. But then again, Amazon is probably exempt since it’s Amazon.

I’ll buy their releases when budget permits me to tackle my “eventually I’ll get to it” list in January and June next year.

Locking my predictions in:

Sony deal:
Candyman
Fright Night
The Blob
Night of the Living Dead
The Craft
Urban Legend (I-III Collection)

Warner Bros. deal:
The Hitcher
Deadly Friend
Alone in the Dark
He Knows You're Alone
Eyes of a Stranger
Killer Party
Jason Goes to Hell
Jason X
Critters (I-IV Collection)

Corman acquisition:
Sorority House Massacre 2
Hard to Die

Obviously, I'm not saying ALL of these will be announced, but I think the announcement will be pulled from these titles.

And, yes, I'm aware of rumors that Candyman and The Hitcher might not be with Sony and Warner, respectively, anymore. But I'd love to see them be announced if they are still in play.

All this talk about TCM3 reminded me that TCM (2003) is a possibility for a SF double dip.

Would love CANDYMAN from them in the US, though I believe they already stated on Twitter that they are not the US distributor for the new scan. However, I am also hoping that was just a lie (though I'd hope SF would be above flat out lying when fans guess upcoming deals).

Also, probably not NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD (unless it's the 90s remake), since Criterion just released theirs last year. BUT, since it is public domain....who knows.

Someone mentioned 13 GHOSTS, and I'd love a new blu of that to go along side their upcoming HOUSE ON HAUNTED HILL release.

^ SF definitely isn't above lying, sometimes even just a few days prior to announcing a title.

And I was referring to the remake owned by Sony, hence the words "Sony deal" above it.

Many of you keep leaving off Fearless Vampire Killers from your wishlists off this WB deal We need this before the likes of Killer Party. Don’t get me wrong, I like Killer Party, but Fearless Vampire Killers should be a much higher priority on SF’s list. Just my opinion, of course.
