Looks like it's potentially owned by Universal and no blu release.
Talk Radio is an excellent movie! I’m surprised it hasn’t been given a release especially since it’s Oliver Stone.

Maybe Shout will do it.

Mick is awesome, and I'm glad to finally see him get his due in HD with a Critters 2 Blu-ray (which will be stacked with extras), and a Sleepwalkers CE. I'd love to see them continue to work with him, as we need a U.S. release of Riding the Bullet (it has a decent German Blu), the Shining miniseries, Bag of Bones, and Desperation. He's personally told me that there are no HD elements for the Stand, so we're out of luck on that one.

Now that's a bummer. I suppose I should go finally buy the DVD now then if that's true.

That's what he told me, unfortunately. It's the way it was shot. He said everything else he's done has elements for HD transfers, but the Stand did not, and said it would most likely never come to Blu-ray.

The Stand was shot on 16mm, which can look gorgeous in HD. According to IMDb’s tech specs, it also looks like it was finished on film too, but even if it wasn’t, they could always go back to the raw negatives if they can be located.

Hm, now I'm a little concerned about a few made for TV films that I'd like to see on Blu

Mick really is awesome, and this is coming from a 100% fan/spectator POV. I have never met him or been in contact with him in anyway. I love his podcast and even enjoy him interviewing people I am not too familiar with. I normally skip those episodes on other podcasts.

Throw in the fact that its the 25th anniversary of Hocus Pocus and he's been a part of anniversary screenings, and even dedicated his last podcast to HP, makes me even more happy for him! It's a good year for his past work, not to mention his current with Nightmare Cinema, which I am looking forward to checking out! The guy is awesome.

Never met him but also really like Mick Garris...any interview I've seen or read plus his work. I always think of him as a good ambassador for Horror.

Same goes for Memoirs of an Invisible Man. I guess it's safe to say now that Shout will release all their Carpenter titles under the Scream line.

As for The Vanishing, it's a Fox title (now Disney) so I wouldn't hold my breath on that. The film got a release from TT which has a pretty decent PQ but it's basically barebones. I used to watch it a lot in my early teens until I discovered the original dutch film, which is way darker and much better, so I kind of tossed the US version aside. But the film has a special place in my heart so I'd love to see a special edition someday. I just love Jeff Bridges's performance of Barney, definitely one of his creepiest roles.
Too bad George Sluizer passed away a few years ago, would love to see a commentary track or an interview with him talking about what made him change the ending in the US version.

But Elvis was a Shout Select release. Starman, Memoirs, Assault and Escape should all be Shout releases.

I submitted a list to the Kino Lorber Insider, and they wouldn't confirm WHICH titles, but said they had four of the ones on my seven title list. They just started a new deal with Universal. So, it's possible, because "Talk Radio" was on my list, that they have it.

I'm still hoping Shout does "The Hand". Then, all of Stone's narrative films will officially be on blu ray.

Scream also releases sci-fis and thrillers. Starman and Memoirs are sci-fi films, Assault and Escape are action thrillers. Elvis is a biography drama.

Wonder when The Craft date will be announced? I own a barebones version but I have a feeling it will have a load of Special Features & I hope they can get Fairuza Balk. I'm curious to know the kinda poster & cover it will have.

I hope they do something outside the box for The Craft's artwork.

Last time I saw her was on Celebrity Ghost Stories a few years ago. Twice on it if I am remembering it right.

It'll be some version of this image I'm sure. With about 12 more heads floating around it....
