Click on any user's username; a menu pops up, click "User Profile". On the screen that follows, click on "User CP"; that will take you to your Control Panel (not that of the user you clicked on, it doesn't matter who you click on, that's just the easiest way I know of to get to this screen).

In the Control Panel, on the side, you can find "Edit Ignore List", and you can add users to your ignore list. I believe there is an easier, more direct way to ignore a user, but I can never remember what that is, and this one works just fine.

just go into your ignore list, click add user and start typing. Names should pop up.

Same here. I only recently got into Hammer Horror films after seeing Horror of Dracula and Curse of Frankenstein last Halloween. So I'm looking forward to seeing what other titles they have planned for next year.

Yeah Scream and Shout Factory really need to concentrate on providing top notch A/V quality. That is another reason many people (myself included) wait to purchase their releases especially nowadays so they can wait for feedback, reviews and comparisons from current releases of the same titles before deciding on a double dip.

Look, I don't know why or where some people get off taking umbrage at other people complaining about pricing. You do you. You worry about your own budget and spending.

It is very apparent that the rules have changed. A lot of us became comfortable pre-ordering upon announcement while knowing that the final price would drop. And wouldn't you know it, it's largely the companies spouting limited slipcovers that are keeping prices high. Buy it right away or risk not getting your slipcover! (I personally don't care about slipcovers but I don't like the market manipulation towards those that do).

I'll buy at whatever price appeals to me. You all buy at whatever price appeals to you. We all have the right to complain that the rules have changed. But nobody here knows what anyone else's budget is, so please keep the judgments about others to yourselves.

What really concerns me most is the potential harm for future niche titles due to poor or slow sales due to inflated prices. Historically speaking for most markets, higher prices always translate to less units sold.

Latching onto pop culture figures is a good way to tell yourself that being alone is okay. Enjoy your night, and try not to feel above anyone before you hit the hay.
Best to ignore the SF haters on the board. Just let SFs awards, reviews speak for themselves, that makes the haters blood boil.

They should rename this thread "Complaints Factory" haaaaaa ha! (I'm just being a pain and adding fuel to an already raging fire).

On a completely different unrelated note, for all of those taking advantage of our lovely amazon.ca system, if you're interested Arrow's release of Last House on the Left is only $13CAD right now, real cheap with the conversion for any Americans! Personally, I get the movie and can appreciate what Craven was doing at the time, but I'm not a fan of the original so I'm passing even though the price is unreal for an Arrow release. It's one of the few movies where I much prefer the remake. For those of you who pick it up at a great price, enjoy!

Those same haters probably have an absurdly large Shout Factory collection that rivals or even surpasses that of any fanboy sycophant . They're the very definition of masochists.

This thread needs a theme song...

Shout
Shout
Drop them all down
These are the prices I can do without
Come on
I'm talking to you
Come on
Shout
Shout
Drop them all down
These are the prices I can do without
Come on
I'm talking to you
Come on
In modern times
You shouldn't have to sell your kia soul
In black and white
They really really ought to know
Those one track minds
That took you for a working boy
Kiss deals goodbye
You shouldn't have to spend $35 for joy
You shouldn't have to shout for joy
Shout
Shout
Drop them all down
These are the prices I can do without
Come on
I'm talking to you
Come on
They gave you life
And in return you gave them hell
As cold as ice
I hope we live to see the sale
I hope we live to see the sale
Shout
Shout
Drop them all down
These are the prices I can do without
Come on
I'm talking to you
Come on
Shout
Shout…

Let me know when they get good reviews and awards on pricing, lack of avaliblity, and their new anti consumer attitude. If these people (including myself) where haters, we wouldn't care in the first place, let alone have bought many of their releases. Some of us just aren't fanboys to such an extreme that we would jump into a cesspool of feces if SF asked us to.

Hmmm, if it was a cesspool of feces made by beautiful women would it matter or is feces just feces. I guess it depends what your into. I think its just feces. All I know is I have my preorders in on titles I really want, I also know that life is really short...what I dont know is...are the studios asking more from Shout and they are passing it on to us? Did a WB deal cost more? Will things work out in the long run? Is all this crying a waste of time? Do I complain sometimes about stuff they do..yes I have.

I do assume things are for a reason, its a niche business not a charity and they probably know a lot more than we do and most companies don't divulge financial reasoning or deal details. I also assume they know how pricing works and what they need to do and are not trying to screw us over but do what they have to do to make the business worth doing. You guys do what you want to do and ill watch movies. Fair enough.

What's the deal with Critters and Trick R Treat being discounted on Amazon right now??? I thought the whole pre-order on Amazon or SF only created the bubble with Amazon only charging MSRP until after release date. My Creepshow is still sitting at $40, which I will not be paying that much for.

**** it, I'm ordering a copy from Shout right now

EDIT: Just ordered it but it wasn't easy. Had to enter my info about 3 times. And shipping is more expensive than Diabolik at $6.99 . They're not doing themselves any favors.

Looks like Bullmoose has Scream Factory pre-orders back, but without discounted prices which is too bad.

Hopefully it improves.
