Shout! Factory got outbid, but it appears they are willing to spend some serious cash when it comes to content acquisition. This would have been a purchase, not a license, so don't read too much into that price and how that compares to a studio license deal with WB, Sony, Universal, MGM, etc. I can't find any information about OA Acquisitions LLC. I'm not sure if that's an existing company or a shell company set up specifically for this transaction.

I don't have a list of films that were included in this transaction, but my understanding is that Alchemy owned a catalog of more than 1,000 film titles including a large number of films that from Avi Lerner's Millennium Films catalog, which would also include First Look Studios / Overseas Filmgroup titles. Prior to the sale, a few Millennium titles (Ginger Snaps, Dog Soldiers, Southern Comfort) were licensed to Shout! Factory.

They should take that $3.08 million and use it to free Dawn of the Dead and Martin from the clutches of Richard Rubinstein.

To think it was all because he was salty about The '95 Power Rangers film not being released separately.

I just checked my Shout Account and my Trick 'r Treats pre-order is still processing.

It's pretty disappointing that it still hasn't shipped considering the street date is on the 9th. I pre-ordered this as soon as it was announced.

He also said NOTLD ‘90, I believe. So, he very well could have just been taking educated guesses.

Yeah, some of those titles like "Creepshow" were bound to get a re-release anyway and Comic Con was close around the time so of course Shout were going to announce it there. He did say NOTLD '90 but we know that's going to be a Sony release.

Is it possible that orders with posters are taking longer to package up for shipping? I received my Trick 'R Treat (no poster) yesterday, and I ordered it 2 months ago.

There was a fair share of “captain obvious”-type titles on his list.

I would of considered titles such as "The Thing" Steelbook re-release with the 4K master as a real leak or some of the Shout Select titles that were at Comic Con (I don't even remember what his list was).

Same here and I got an email saying I will get it one week early instead of two weeks. Now I’m not even going to get it on release day unless they do overnight shipping assuming they ship tomorrow.

Release date is October 9th. Retailers that have pulled their listings likely can't fulfill any more orders in time for the release day so they're waiting for a stock replenishment before hosting the links again. It's still up at at least one retailer I checked, but this particular retailer also has no problem shipping items out weeks after release date if that's the earliest they can get the films so I have little doubt that this is a stock issue.

I got mine yesterday also, didn't have a poster. Although it seems I now need to ask for a replacement disc since mine came with lots of little scratches that freeze the movie.

I'm not sure ?! I ordered House on Haunted Hill @ the same time and it came with a poster and it was delivered two weeks early, I got an e-mail from Scream Factory on Friday Sept 21 saying that there would be a delay with trick 'r treat and it would ship the following week, it's Oct 7th and it still hasn't shipped, I hope to get it before Halloween.

Go for it. The first two films of both are fun.

The first Ghoulies flick is like watching paint dry, but the first sequel is a blast. I think the Critters series is a TON of fun, even when the quality drops off a bit with the sequels.

If you have VUDU they are streaming the Critters and some of the Ghoulies films for free. They're fun in their own way

Check out their post on Facebook, they were removed as they have sold out of their allocation.

The only other place to get them is either on amazon or in store at FYE...
