Yes, only the first batch were defective and they have a replacement program as well. I got a corrected disc within a week or two of reaching out to them.

Picked up Creepshow and ROTLD II finally. Got both for $38 after tax. Really pleased!

Hell Night is one of the best 80's horrors IMO. I'd compare it to Funhouse in look and feel.

The Trick R' Treat, replacement program was Bullshit for some. My Colleague purchased a disc that was scratched, and Shout shipped a replacement disc that was scratched worse than the 1st disc. I will only purchase if Shout stopped shipping the scratched discs.

Good enough for me! Adding it to my B&N cart!

So far I have

HELL NIGHT
DRACULA: PRINCE OF DARKNESS
DEMON KNIGHT
THE RESURRECTED
PUMPKINHEAD II (guilty pleasure from when my local stations did horror on weekends)
DAY OF THE DEAD
ARMY OF DARKNESS CE
and not SF, but EVIL DEAD 4k

Oh wow, I had no idea! I did look it up and see that I purchased the disc about 6 weeks after release, maybe that had something to do with it. Sorry to hear about your colleague's horror story!

So since I'm a huge dork.... I went ahead and made a list of the remaining thriller and horror titles from Sony, Fox, and Universal that I haven't seen... that way when some of them get released.. I wont have to worry if I'm going to like it. .. made that mistake with the entity..

I didn't have any playback issues with my first production run copy of Trick R Treat that I was aware of, I guess I should check the disc again.

Glad you mentioned this, I didn't know it was included in the sale! Just went back to B&N's site and placed another order just for Day of the Dead. Here's my total SF haul from the sale. Between this and the recent HB titles, I'm definitely doing my part to keep SF afloat....just not at the prices they'd prefer!

Critters Collection
Invasion of the Body Snatchers
Starman
Memoirs of an Invisible Man
Elvis
Fargo Steelbook
The Producers
Day of the Dead

Strange how Species II doesn't have the 40% off on the B&N sale.

I may have missed it, but does B&N have a page listing all the Scream titles on sale? Or is it all of them, and you just have to look up the ones you're interested in to see what they're marked down to?

I'd suggest just looking up the titles you're interested in. I stupidly clicked all the way through their link showing all of their "sale titles", only to find out after that there were Shout titles included in the sale that never showed up in those menus.

Doesn't seem to be all of them. Someone mentioned SPECIES II. WHEN A STRANGER CALLS BACK wasn't on sale.

I'm guessing/assuming most very recent releases aren't?

I just went through Scream's listing on their site and then looked up older titles I've held off on/wanted. *shrug*

I did that too. We are both stupid.
I looked up the titles individually and made a wishlist.

The ones on my wishlist were all 40% off.
In no particular order:
Candyman
The Crush (listed as just "Crush")
House on Haunted Hill (1999)
Valentine (2001)
Death Becomes Her
Stigmata
Sleepwalkers
Mr. Mom
Starman
Tales From the Hood

I couldn't find Shout's The 'Burbs. Kuffs was only 10% off and has the "New Release" banner.

SF's Trick R Treat is a definite upgrade PQ and AQ wise IMO. I definitely recommend it over the Warner disc (which was solid PQ wise as well but audio was seriously lacking). It's also some of SF's best artwork so if you are lucky hopefully you will get a slipcover.

FYI, you can buy shirts with identical artwork from Cavity Colors (one of their artists did the cover for SF). Good company.

Damn that B&N sale is great. Picked up 3 titles for under 50 bucks. All I could afford right now lol.
