And the TV series. No Joan, but still fun!

Isn’t that legal issue holding up Corman releases?

With the existing/new/whatever deal with Fox, I want a nice release of Corman's Frankenstein Unbound.

Not clear. It hasn't stopped them from upgrading prior Corman releases, but it seems like it's been a while for a new-to-Blu Corman title.

I revisited the Carnosaur trilogy on DVD over the past few days. What’re the chances SF could put these out on blu-ray? They’re enjoyable schlock that I’d love to experience in HD, but I’m unaware who owns em.

I feel like Angel of Destruction is better suited for the MVD Rewind collection. I wonder if Scream Factory will ever license out the titles that they themselves own.

I swear I read somewhere that these were getting a double feature release soon. I can’t find any info on it, so I assume I was dreaming...

You have, but it seems to be a false rumor started by the director.

The director Jim Wynorski claimed a release was happening last year after Shout Factory purchased the Corrman library. Shout Factory quickly shot it down and despite many of our pleas has thus far refused to release it.

The director made his own cover art mock-up to look like a Scream double feature, posted it on Facebook & everyone took it seriously like it was actually getting a release. That's the extent of it.

True, MVD would perhaps put more care into the bonus features, whereas I'm sure Shout would bundle it with another movie in a double feature no bonus features and be done with it. Although I don't think Shout will ever license the titles out.

They've licensed / sublicensed several titles to Scorpion and Code Red, Love Letters being the most recent release.

Thanks. Because I also swore I’d seen the cover too. I really thought I was losing it.

Since SF is releasing IFC films, what's the likelihood we might get a Blu-ray release of Los ojos de Julia? Or is it with Universal and if so since SF has dealt with Universal maybe they can work it out between the three of them.

Close to zero. While I'm pretty sure US rights are solely controlled by IFC, I don't get the impression Scream Factory will be revisiting any of the older IFC Midnight titles beyond the Larry Fessenden and Human Centipede boxsets.

It looks like you already have the UK release, but for anyone else that's curious, it's region-free (though most of the extras are PAL-formatted), English friendly and still available from Amazon.co.uk for about $11 USD, shipped.
