You are correct. I only linked to Scream Factory titles and not Shout Factory titles.

They're just linking to Hamiltons discounted blu rays, nothing to do with them going OOP. A few of them might be on shouts oop list, that's all.

So apparently Big Trouble in Little China is in fact missing the Collector's Edition branding. Must've been an oversight right? Similar to how Slumber Party Massacre II / III was missing "double feature" at the bottom? Interestingly, it's not on the slipcover, or either side of the interior cover... hmm.

Regardless, it's still a very attractive blu-ray package (I sole these pics from Twitter) :

I like it better without it.

Hopefully, it doesn't bug me that I have all the other John Carpenter CEs with it and then this one without it. Haha!

So do I but the inconsistencies are starting to stand out, especially to those of us who have all the Scream Factory titles together on the shelves. You've got slipcovers with a blue banner along the top, slips without the blue banner, Collector's Edition branding and now no branding. And don't get me started on the Shout Select slips with the titles way down at the bottom of the spines. Thank goodness I'm not OCD

Just use a sharpie and color in the older "Collector's Edition"s. Problem solved.

Also picked up Scarecrows (and the Violent Kind) from Hamilton Books. Good looking out!

Would you suggest the same thing to a photoshop artist who wanted to paint over parts of the Mona Lisa he/she didn't like?

Will SF likely be doing more 4K scan steelbook re-releases?

Based on their history of them so far, I don't know why they'd stop. Unless the studios they have deals with stop offering them 4k scans.

I’m hoping for 4K scan steelbook editions of Psycho 2-4, Poltergeist 2-3 and Child’s Play.

Lots of great prices on OOP and soon to be OOP titles.

Was able to order New Year's Evil and The Sure Thing. Some of their prices are outrageously low! These are new copies right? Not used?

I'd definitely be down for any of those, but, we'll see if they get offered the 4k scans for any of those by the studios.

I might be wrong, but I BELIEVE all of the 4k scan steels so far have just been scans offered/authorized to them from the studios that own them. I don't think any of them have been Scream/Shout produced new scans.

Shiny and new. Almost too good to be true but it's 100% legit. Finally got all the oop titles I was after.

I think some of the less popular OOP titles can still be found for reasonable prices.

Snagged DEAD OF WINTER last week from Best Buy (price is 12.99, but thanks to rewards certs it was $3 and change)(and just saw that it's 8 bucks on Hamilton)

Looked at THE DARK HALF 2 days ago on Amazon...it was $15 at the time, not sure about now.

It makes me all the more glad I decided to toss all my slips entirely and not worry about it. I flip the artwork to the original anyway, and everything looks neat and orderly on my shelf.

As does mine. All minty slips lined up. Very nice indeed.
