With The Hand, Eyes of a Stranger, He Knows You're Alone, and the already released Someone's Watching Me, certainly they have Deadly Friend and Dr. Giggles cooking on the stove next.

Man, I hope so! Dr. Giggles is a longtime favorite of mine, and it's only available in SD on VUDU and the blu-ray that came out as a DF with Otis was 1.85:1 when the laserdisc was 2.00:1. *Fingers crossed.*

And I've grown to love Deadly Friend over the years. Would definitely pick that one up, too.

Got He Knows You're Alone and yes, it had the eco case, but I switched to a black case from Severin and that looks slick with the cover art. Watching this soon, probably Saturday afternoon.

there are TONS of netflix titles i'd kill to own, but except for the titles that net them prestige, like the stuff criterion has been releasing, i don't see them opening up their library for physical distribution. their end game is to get people to subscribe, which means most of their library is going to remain stuck behind their pay wall.

Since these are not yet in the database, I wonder if not many people around here are buying the limited editions of Big Bad Mama/Big Bad Mama II and Crazy Mama/Lady In Red sets.

All four (2 depending on how you count double bills) are blind buys for me, but they are ordered and actually could arrive as early as this afternoon. I've been tempted to buy the DVDs for several years now since I've started realizing there were movies before 1980. I'm personally glad procrastination paid off , but I am itching to add them to my collection here...

So glad they released these latest double features. I was one of the poor suckers who originally purchased the BD-R release of BIG BAD MAMA.

Since Hasbro have announced a new 4K steelbook and standard release of Transformers: The Movie will be available for pre-order from Shout this Monday, presumably whatever they do have planned for August will be unveiled then.

See, I was wondering if I'd misheard or misunderstood the FFF presentation today. The way I understood the Hasbro lady, it was that the steelbook would go on sale on Monday, and the 4k would be available "later this summer." They also didn't mention the steel as being 4k, whereas the non-steel set was explicitly labeled as such.

I was hoping I was simply misunderstanding that, and that the steel would be 4k, and available for order Monday. Does that sound right? I don't care about the steel (I've still got the last one, which I love, and don't really care for the artwork on the new one) but I will purchase the 4K ASAP, in whatever case they want to sell me!

The Blu-ray is from the same master as the DVD, hence the same aspect ratio. It's a Super 35 film, but it would be great to finally see it in the theatrical aspect ratio. The release could even have a 1:85 and 2:35 version option. From what I have seen of the pictures, the OOP Blu-ray picture quality isn't the best, so a remaster would certainly be a good thing.

It's already been mentioned this was some kind of screwup and will be fixed in time for the next month's titles. I put mine in black cases and they look great.

It is telling to me that this "screw up" never seems to affect, Arrow, Severin, Vinegar Syndrome, Code Red, Dark Forces, etc. It's also not the first time. Look over the discussions from the last year and there are numerous examples of Box sets arriving with varying cases within a single set and cases changing from release to release.

I honestly don't particularly care all that much but I do find it amusing that this only seems to impact Scream Factory despite them typically using what is arguably the most common cases in the industry compared to Severin (black) Vinegar Syndrome (Clear), Arrow (thicc), etc.
