Thought I'd get this in early before the newspaper columnist no doubt writes their annual anti-autumn and Halloween column. One of the regular columnists for the 'i' newspaper, for the past two years, has openly said how much they loathe the autumn/fall season and Halloween. They're entitled to their opinion (summer is probably my least favourite season), but I will say that I only get that newspaper for the puzzles. I love that time of year, and am looking forward to the new Halloween film. Hoping the local cinema does a one-off screening of both the original Halloween and Halloween II, but I doubt it (more than likely it will be just the original Halloween).

I'm a bit torn over these recent Shout announcements of the first five Halloween films. I'm in no rush to start collecting 4K Blu-rays (off the top of my head, the only one I've got is a UK release of the original Halloween. It was a combo pack of a Blu-ray and 4K Blu-ray). There is a Sony player I've read about on here that I hope to get eventually.

Nope, same here. Looks like a glitch. Only able to access my address book and not account settings, orders, etc.

The tab links at the top are all messed up. They all just link to the addresses page. Just use this (but copy and paste and delete the spaces i added around the slashes - this site is reformatting the link automatically to the login page for some reason if I try to paste it directly):

https://www.shoutfactory.com / account / orders

Basically, just replace "addresses" with "orders" in the url after you click the "My Account" link on the shout website.

Does Sacred Bones charge upfront or when they ship? Trying to plan accordingly for when to order from Scream and SB.

Do you guys think it's safe to get rid of the prior 4K release of Halloween? I mean, it's basically guaranteed the Scream Factory version will be as good or better, right? I could use the cash towards the new releases. I have the Best Buy exclusive steelbook version of it. It's nice looking but I'm willing to part with it to cut down the price on the new one.

It's hard to say, with Scream it's never a guarantee.

I can only think of 3 releases that weren't as good as the releases that came before. (Arrow's The Thing came out after)
  • The Tingler
  • Escape From New York
  • I think Mad Max?
Am I missing anymore?
Edit - Add Dog Soldiers (4)

Will be better than the prior release, new 4K scan and the original mono.

Live in NC too, 85 for Christmas is a real blast, AC to make it feel like Christmas.

State seems to be trending warmer longer, not much of a Fall or Winter anymore.

I have a question about the Exclusive Enamel Pin Set, from which film is Micheal wearing the 2 masks from the right - the mummy and human?

The bandages mask is from the beginning of Part 4. The other mask is from Part 5 when he pretends to be Tina's boyfriend.

"Mummy" was Halloween 4 when he was bandaged up in the beginning of the film and "human" was Halloween 5 when he was wearing the mask in the car with Tina.

Yeah, it seems to be drifting away. Last Christmas had some cool air, but it trends warmer each year for sure.

Would you know how the pricing works for a boutique label? From what you wrote it sounds like they make the money on the sale price as opposed to whatever price they sell it to retailers for?

Just wondering when it is they make the money.

You could sell them or if you can't be bothered, then you could always recycle them. Throwing away paper is just irresponsible.

Bull Moose currently has the best Preorder prices for the Halloween sequel 4K titles. I've almost clicked Pay Now but there's a disclaimer on the site that says "We'll try to get it for you" - how are Bullmoose with fulfillment of preorders? I don't want to end up with cancellations if they can't fulfill for whatever reason. I don't realistically expect the prices to come down any lower anywhere.

Slip-Cover-Watch:

Ordered Deadly Blessing two weeks ago from Amazon; arrived today with the Slip! Would never thought, that such old release would still arrive with one.
