Love if Scream picked up "Vacancy" from 2007. Terrific little B-movie. Out of print as a stand alone release.

Went through the last 8ish pages and couldn't find anything, so sorry if this question has been answered.....anyone hear/know if they're planning any Comic Con announcements for October?

For those who love or hate the Halloween 3 jingles, most people know they are based on the London Bridge is Falling Down rhyme.

That rhyme has many theories of it's origin. It has been noted that in past centuries in pates of the UK and others, they used to encasing a person in a structure would help protect it. Virgins were considered the most powerful for protection. Bodies have been found incase in the bases of ancient structures.

This is one theory, explained here to some degree, and possibly the reason it was chosen.

The author of the book “The Traditional Games of England, Scotland and Ireland” Alice Bertha Gomme suggests that the “London Bridge Is Falling Down” rhyme refers to the use of a medieval punishment known as immurement. Immurement is when a person is encased into a room with no openings or exits and left there to die.

Immurement was a form of punishment as well as a form of sacrifice. Gomme points to the lyric “take the key and lock her up” as a nod to this inhumane practice and the belief that the sacrifices may have been children.

According to her, people during those times believed that the bridge would collapse if there wasn’t a body buried inside. Thankfully, this disturbing suggestion has never been proven and there is no archaeological evidence that suggests it’s true.

Nothing has been stated thus far which means either a) nothing is planned again or b) they plan to surprise everyone. Personally I'm leaning toward the former but it'd be great if they had something lined up to wow everyone as re-releases of the Halloween films without new special features doesn't really seem like it'd take that much time and so I'm wondering what else they've been up to.

Writer/director Tommy Lee Wallace says he picked that song because it's in the public domain.

That's what I figured, but it has a secondary meaning for some people. I only recently learned about the bodies protecting structures thing etc.

I just realized it is the same rhyming pattern as Mary Had a Little Lamb.

There are more features to be announced:

Even if not ComicCon specific, I would hope they'd have some October titles lined up. I seem to recall some sort of social media post a month or two back that they did have "something special for Halloween" (and seemed to mean the holiday, not the franchise) so....yeah. Hopefully something newer/bigger than H1 through 5 in Spetember.

Halloween sequels on 4K are nice but they don't fit the profile of "release of the year" so, yeah, they probably have something bigger lined up for the season. Hopefully. I'm just happy they're past the Hammer/cheesy 50's sci-fi/monster movie phase. Not expecting an Elm Street box set, though. If they were doing it, something would've leaked by now.

I hope they aren't past the 50's horror/monster phase as there are quite a few not released that I would prefer to watching any Nightmare on elm St movie except the first. Things got too goofy after a while and though I saw the first one on opening day, the other 4 I seen theatrically made me think less of the character and likely haven't seen any other since the 80s. I likely haven't seen the first after Freddy became a comodian.

Not to imply that any 50s movie will be a release as big as they are suggesting (even if it was a film considered lost). Many younger people have an aversion toward black and white movies.

Oh man, I'm the opposite, I really hope we get more Hammer movies (Captain Clegg??) and definitely more 50's monster movies, or even more Universal horror movies. For me, those were the highlights of Scream factory in the last few years, not rereleases of the exact same movies again and again.

Good unreleased horror/thriller tittles on blu-ray for this region are running thin, but I'm still hoping Scream Factory can put out I Married a Monster from Outer Space, Fire in the Sky, and Ghost in the Darkness specifically as they seem to be the most possible of ones I would likely want. I'm sure they all will come from one company or another at this point since Paramount is going to town with their back catalog.

The Ghost and the darkness, a thousand yes! One of the best creature feature of the 90's and one of my number one wishful releases along with the Crawling eye. At this point I've given up hopes for these two.

Since the announcement that Nothing But Trouble is coming to bluray soon... I'm 100 percent sure it's from Scream Factory most likely for October? Any other hints that anyone knows of... of what might be coming for October? Since September was soooo heavy and lots of announcements... I'm expecting October to be epicc...
