Not likely. A New Years sale could pop up at the very end of the year but if I were a betting man I'd say the next sale won't happen until the "Love is in the Scare" sale in February.

I just watched this movie for the first time tonight. I must have missed this one in the past, but it was pretty good. Typical Elvira movie, but I enjoyed the first movie better. Again, this was not bad and I am glad I added it to my collection.

Somehow I missed that Elvira's Haunted Hills was going to come in a slip box. Price point is the same though. Are SF collector's editions switching to slip boxes?

I think they did that for collectors who had Elvira Mistress of the Dark since Arrow released it in a slipbox. Similar reason to why they did Creepshow for collectors who already had Arrows Creepshow 2.

Arrow's Mistress of the Dark release is a regular slipcover or a SteelBook. There's no slipbox variant for it.

With that being said, I am also super curious why Haunted Hills got a rigid slipbox. My only guess is because it came out at the same time as the Halloween 4K's, it may have been cheaper to put in a single order to whatever manufacturer they use rather than one order for slipboxes and one order for slipcovers.

Even though Arrow's release of MOTD used a slipcover, the rigid box for Haunted Hills does look a better match due to Arrow's use of the thicker UK cases. They almost have the same spine width because of the box. But I do think it had something to do with the Halloween 4K's being in the same batch too.

I think the whole rigid slipbox thing is what they are doing going forward for all 4K's. Looks like Alligator 4K and The Howling 4K have the slipbox as well.

Stock photo shows a slipcover. Hard to see because it's black. The rigid boxes had the title on top for the stock photos.

Received my Krampus 4K from Amazon just now and they added a barcode sticker on the back of the slipcover. It was easy to come off and left no residue but still weird to see. Hope this isn’t something new Amazon is doing now…

Was it directly from Amazon? I've ordered from sellers on Amazon that used the stickers but never Amazon directly.

My entire order had those stickers last week! Yes, my order was directly through Amazon and not a 3rd party seller. I recognize them as the Amazon IDs they apply to all the titles. I understand their purpose, if they want to distinguish 3rd party sellers' items from Amazon inventory, but I just don't like these stickers. When a movie arrives, I always record the barcode and now I need to remove that sticker first. Worrisome when it's attached to a slipcover.

Yeah it was direct from Amazon. And if this is a new thing they are doing, what's even weirder is my Beavis and Butthead Do America blu ray arrived today as well, and even though that does not come with a slipcover, it did not have that sticker. (not to mention they shipped that one in a plastic bag with smiley faces instead of their usual bubble mailers)

Those stickers are the worst. I always feel like Indiana Jones with the bag of sand and the gold idol trying to get them off.
