For my money...

Highest tier: Phantom of the Paradise, Dressed to Kill, Blow Out, Body Double, Carlito's Way, Mission: Impossible, Snake Eyes, Femme Fatale
High tier: Scarface, Sisters, The Untouchables
Mid tier: Obsession, The Fury
Low tier: Raising Cain, Passion, Domino

And the rest, I haven't seen - or at least I haven't seen them in such a long time that I'm withholding judgement. Also, even his low tier movies have scenes that are pretty great.

Ghost is the big one for me but I also just cancelled my Arrow pre-order for Candyman to get the scream version. It's going to be half the price and I just can't say no to a slipcover with the original poster. Plus, I just read the tiny essay from the Candyman booklet and it really isn't worth it. Had Arrow had a great booklet with tons of essays, I might have caved but their limited edition is quite underwhelming compared to some of their other releases, imo. Plus i'm always happy to support scream factory.
I already own the UK steelbook of Escape (and the Scream factory steelbook) but, just like with Candyman, they are going for the original poster art and that poster is such an incredible and iconic artwork, i've always loved it (even own the vhs) but was always disappointed nobody has used it since the vhs days. Glad Scream factory are finally giving it to us on a slipcover. Hopefully The Fog gets the same treatment.

I wonder if Disturbing Behavior will be brought back as a 4k upgrade? It seems like too popular of a movie for it to OOP.

That's so weird, I stumbled on Dinosaur World (the Chinese film) the other day online and thought "too bad no one picked it up for a US release". Thanks Shout.

Candyman includes a new interview, meh, I can live without it. May have been tempted to double-dip on Lifeforce if it included that extra I missed out on from the previous CE.

So, Shout are doing a Shout Select release of Two for the Money. So, between that, and The Craft, I guess it's very possible they have a new Sony deal.

Looks to be the case. Paramount, WB, and Sony titles in the same month is pretty nuts. Maybe they will be the ones who release One False Move in the US.

Wonder how much longer we'll have to wait for a 4k release of Night of the Living Dead '90. (And whether or not anyone will want it considering all the problems with some of the day/night coloration on past releases).

As for me for May... nothing at the moment. I might eventually pick up The Craft at some point as I never grabbed the previous disc (though If I can find a cheap copy of the Blu Ray I may just call it good with that). Candyman will be an eventual purchase as I am in no significant rush to upgrade that one as I just had a marathon of those films 2-3 weeks ago and was happy with their presentations. I wouldn't rule out me ever getting Escape from New York but it's not a priority by any means and would need to be pretty cheap for me to consider it. No interest in Lifeforce upgrades, and no interest in The Ghost in the Darkness and Femme Fatale.

I suppose this is a blessing in disguise however as I can focus on all the sales during May this way without worrying about new releases cutting into that budget.

It will be nice never to have to buy Lifeforce, Escape from New York, Candyman, or The Craft again after pulling the trigger on these 4K editions.

The Ghost and the Darkness has been a long time coming. I'm in for Femme Fatale as well.

I'll probably pre-order these from DiabolikDVD after my mid-March payday.

At some point, I'm going to have to throw my hands up in exasperation and stop upgrading my standard Blu-rays to 4K, but the above four are all fun movies that merit the expense.

I love NOTLD '90 but I think I'm done with it on physical media unless SONY miraculously comes up with the missing bits for some kind of extended cut. Also, I think Savini has said everything he wants to say about the film so anyone hoping for more extras may be disappointed. Great movie, though.

Only a matter time time for us to get night of the demons, Piranha, big trouble, humanoids, and slumber party to hit 4k.

I’m. Sure all the releases with 4K scans will get a 4K release down the road. I hope they can revisit some other films such as day, sleepaway camp, silent night deadly night.

What a truly spectacular month. I'm going to need a second job.

I'm in for Femme Fatale, Escape from NY, and The Craft. Maybe Candyman as well, although I've been trying to keep 4k to only my absolute favorites, since the prices on those are creeping out of my price range.

Also: Very happy to see The Craft is getting a new scan. I wonder if Event Horizon (which I've held off on) could get the 4k upgrade soon too.

I preordered The Craft and Lifeforce and then cancelled Lifeforce, because only theatrical cut is on 4k? What a bad call.
