I blind bought What Keeps You Alive (an IFC Midnight title) since it was cheap and I adored the cover art, and I also needed to throw in something to get free shipping with Gravity Falls. Is it any good?

Shout is having a one day Mel Brooks flash sale with 6 titles available. It includes The Fly collection for $36. Great price for that set. Happy hunting fellow film fans!

I took advantage yesterday and ordered:

• The Incredible Mel Brooks: An Irresistible Collection Of Unhinged Comedy
• The 2000 Year Old Man: The Complete History
• Mel Brooks: Make a Noise (American Masters)
• The Doctor and the Devils

On a side note, I'm digging the new Shout website and partnership with Shopify. I viewed my prices in CAD and somehow they made the shipping of my entire order only $10, which I've never seen in any of my Shout purchases to date.

Edit: I think I encountered a system hiccup with the above-mentioned order. I placed a subsequent order of 4 Blu-rays and shipping this time totaled $45(CAD). I'm a little concerned Shout might note the $10 shipping charge and cancel my Mel Brooks order.

I know everyone has been focused on scratched discs, but I've actually been pretty happy with their title selections from the past few months. Lots of new to HD titles, and all the HK stuff has been pretty epic as I feared that these would never get US releases.

Now, hopefully Dr. Giggles ships soon so I get rid of the previous release. Very excited to see how this one looks.

I'm really wondering what their September/October lineup is going to look like. They're upgrading past titles at a fairly quick pace, so I'm interested to see what comes later in the year.

Sept/Oct is where they hold out for the big guns, so we'll see. Something Paramount related I'd imagine.

I just want A Simple Plan soon if they are the ones who have it.

This guy says both EARTHQUAKE and FUTUREWORLD are being "considered" for 4k release, presumably from Shout/Scream Factory.

I remember seeing The Gift (2000) at the cinema (on it's original cinema release). Despite not having seen it again since, I still thought the film was close to very good. On and off, I have been looking at (possibly) getting the Via Vision (Imprint) release.

Sadly, I don't think they are. He says a 4k scan is underway for Earthquake.

I know their press release doesn’t mention one, but I’m still holding out in case Paramount did a new one on their own. The Imprint Blu-ray doesn’t look any better than the DVD (actually it might look worse since SD hid the anonymities of the 2002-era transfer).

Go to DVDBeaver, review just added. It's a different transfer.

Today I received my copy of Razorback (2023) from Grindhouse Video and from the back of the case it doesn't look like it includes the NEW commentary with "Film Critics/Historians Lee Gambin And Jarret Gahan". I haven't put into the player to confirm yet though. Also noticed that the date on the back of the case and on the disk is 2005! Did Shout Factory have a prior release to this before Umbrella? All the other features seem to be on there. Also worthy of note is that the back of the case doesn't list it as the "Restored 4K Master By Umbrella Entertainment". I assume this is the 4k scane by Umbrella but I'm simply going off of what Shout Factory's official website has listed as the special features. Perhaps Grindhouse sent me an old copy?

Don't have the disc, but Scream/Shout often leaves bonus features off the artwork for some reason. Maybe they have to get them printed before the extras are finalized?
