These two I don't see getting a 4K upgrade. Deadly Blessing wasn't a big seller for them (the slipcover was still coming on copies ordered from retailers last year), and I would imagine SNDN wouldn't happen until they find a higher quality source for the unrated cut. Nightbreed could go either way. The director's cut that they released could get a 4K upgrade, but I don't know if they'd want to try tracking down any more footage or whatnot. Quote:

I said they probably were coming, just not soon. I never said I knew everything, just showed evidence to counter your points. Have fun, hope you get your Clownhouse release! |

Yes, that is exactly what I said. What is the point you're trying to make? I said from the start it wasn't happening soon, you literally just quoted me as saying that.

When they get announced sooner than those 10 years you seem to think it will take, I'll make sure to refer back to your posts.

From a personal standpoint, I'd love to have SF releases of the RZ duo and the Blumhouse trilogy to match the other eight. (But I also try to buy as many copies of the Halloween films anyway, so. ![]() |

I'm not even a big fan of the RZ films, but I'd like to give them another shot, as I haven't seen them in quite some time. I read the Taking Shape book, and it made me want to revisit them.

I can see Shout! releasing the DGG films on 4K UHD sooner rather than later too, possibly this Fall.
Even though they released Halloween '78 on 4K two years ago, I could see them re-releasing a 45th Anniversary Edition on the format this Fall. And with DGG's trilogy being direct sequels to the original, they could use that selling point to their advantage and tie in their own 4K UHD editions with a slew of Bonus Features since Universal's releases were sorely lacking in that regard. The Halloween films have been a lucrative source of revenue for them ever since the early days of the company. And they know the demand is there for Collector's Editions of the new trilogy in the hard case slip boxes to match their releases of H1-H8. Zombie's two Halloween films on 4K are an uphill battle with Lionsgate refusing to license them out, despite Shout's attempt to acquire them. But never say never in this industry I suppose. |

Finally the original cover art for The Burning on a slip. It's the right way to go.

I could see LG doing their own 4K releases for RZ's films. They know there's demand, all depends how much more or less lucrative it'd be for them to do it themselves, or have SF do the work. There's a new RZ 1 and 2 set coming out with both cuts overseas on blu-ray, not sure if they're remastered or not or older scans.

Since The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003) celebrates its 20th Anniversary in October, that would be a cool pick for the October Lineup

Do scream factory discs frequently come scratched? My "They Live" steelbook edition has some noticeable scratches if I use a light above to check the disc, but not noticeable in normal light though. Maybe I'm overthinking things.
