Looks like instead of getting the SE version, you got the PE (pixelation enhanced) version. Truly hope you can wipe that disc to clean that up. That is insane.

I’ve long already owned Vincent Price Collection Vol. 2 (since it has House on Haunted Hill, one of my all-time favorites), and I finally just grabbed Vol. 1 at that irresistible price. I’m still on the fence about Vol. 3 though. I would love to complete the collection, but those movies just don’t look as good, and it seems clear Scream Factory had to scrape the bottom of the barrel there, and why they didn’t release any more sets. Does anyone recommend that set? Otherwise, I’ll probably wait for it to dip at least to the $23 range. It’s one of those titles that SF announced a long time ago was going out of print, but is no longer the case.

I might grab one of the Universal Horror sets I don’t have (I already own #1 and #3), but those sets never seem to dip into the $25 range like I’ve been hoping. I might grab #2 to fill the gap and since it’s the cheapest.

I think the third collection is a pretty nice set. I blind bought it with the first collection last year. While his greatest films aren't on the set, I found them enjoyable. Especially Master of the World (which isn't highly rated but its my favorite from the set.) Tower of London is my next favorite, as its Poe meets Shakespeare. Cry of the Banshee is a nice spiritual sequel to Witchfinder General. An Evening of Edgar Allan Poe is an interesting watch. Diary of a Madman isn't bad but not one I feel the need to rewatch, at least not often.

Man, I'm so broke right now, but I've had so many Scream Factory titles in my save for later cart on Amazon, and I had to crack. I've tracked a lot of these titles over the last year, and they're about as cheap as I've seen in quite a while. LOL

Picked up

Bordello of Blood
Tales from the Darkside
April Fool's Day
Dracula Dead and Loving It
House of Wax

I haven't seen Bordello of Blood or Tales from the Darkside go this cheap in forever. They're usually hovering around the mid $20s on Amazon. Why, Bordello of Blood is always higher is beyond me because it's not that great, but an admitted guilty pleasure.

That said, I fully expect all of these to have a 4k announced next week since I just spent $80! #blessed

I've been trying to be good and skipped the recent Scream and Kino sales, but this is the lowest that I have seen the Universal collections so I picked them up and a few other things....

Halloween 3-Movie Collection
The Sentinel
The Town That Dreaded Sundown
The Witches
To the Devil...A Daughter
Universal Horror Collection vol 1
Universal Horror Collection vol 4

I debated on getting the Scream releases of the Halloween movies in the 3 movie collection, but even at that price, it's more than I want to pay and this was like $12.

Depends on the titles. All seven I ordered from Shout were $1 cheaper and I didn't have to pay tax. So about $17 in savings over Amazon. The Universal Horror sets are cheaper on Amazon though.

I ordered Slumber Party Massacre 1+2 4K, Black Christmas 4K, and The Funhouse 4K from Amazon, then price-matched Return of the Living Dead and The People Under the Stairs 4Ks at Best Buy a bit ago to potentially watch one tonight.

I may get a couple of more but I have bought wayyyyyy too much this month already.

My copies of Halloween III: Season Of The Witch [Collector's Edition] + Exclusive Poster + Vinyl (which there are only two copies left of on the site) and Krampus: The Naughty Cut [Collector's Edition] were delivered today. Like my last previous order with the poster and vinyl set, the box was huge but everything managed to be protected. I love the Scream Factory paper they put in with the Halloween sets and I refuse to throw them away. I didn't notice any scratches on the discs. Krampus still comes with a slip. I ordered these back on the 14th, so getting these delivered less than a week later is pretty nice.

Is there a preferred form of contact with Shout for issues with order fulfillment? I ordered nine titles during the last sale but only received eight of them when the package arrived. I sent a message through their website concerning the missing title two days ago but haven't heard back yet. Is Shout slow regarding customer enquiries, or is there a better form of contact for getting problems resolved?

Did your packing slip or invoice show the 9th item on back order?

I had already thought about that, but the packing slip/invoice shows no sign of the disc being on backorder. For what it's worth, there's a check mark (done with a highlighter) next to each item on the invoice. Also, I received a few emails (your order is out for delivery, etc.) which lists the missing title along with the rest of the order. Incidentally, the missing title is The Curse of the Cat People.

I don't know, I think that most true horror fans would find more than enough good stuff to have these films in their collection. Yes, this is the weakest set of the 3 in regards to titles, but "bottom of the barrel" here is better than most current movies today.

Plus I like having most horror films starring the greats like PRICE, LEE, KARLOFF, LUGOSI, etc Their presence elevates most films to "good" level, even the weaker ones.

In general people have been getting scratched discs from Shout/Scream for a couple years now. It’s a long discussed topic having to do with poor QC at the Mexico plant that makes the discs.
