That uhhhhh sure is a line up, didn't expect village of the damned before precinct 13 and mouth of madness. Who keeps buying these mid and late 2010s horror 4ks for there to keep being more? Guess it's just easy fodder since they're upscales

I'm hoping we get another Toku announcement at AnimeExpo. Hoping for Kamen Rider W or some Geats movies

It may come down to the work already having been done by the licensor and Shout just acting as distributor. I'm curious if Cliff's departure has anything to do with the glut of remakes and modern films being released nowadays. Obviously people are buying so there's that. My feeling is these newer titles are filling a void. Maybe the well has run dry again, maybe there's too much competition...who knows. Maybe whoever took Cliff's place just prefers modern movies.

I wish Shout Factory would put Amityville II on UHD first before the 2005 remake.

Rather disappointing line-up though considering we're entering the peak horror season. Would be nice to see more new-to-Blu stuff in the Scream line, but I'm not holding my breath for anything these days, with 4K upgrades the obvious focus. I'm just surprised it took this long for SF to do the Amityville Horror remake.
It's kind of funny to me how I've lately been watching titles dwindle from my Scream shelf and either disappearing completely or showing up on other label shelves.

I'm in for Doomsday; haven't watched it in ages but thought it was a great ride and 4K should really help it out. And I will upgrade any Carpenter to UHD; I thinkVillage has aged really well.

(Doomsday has a real Carpenter vibe to it FWIW.)

The Stepfather is the only interesting one here IMO. Maybe I'll grab Village of the Damned to complete my Carpenter collection at some point but I'm still disappointed this is getting an upgrade before Precinct 13 and Mouth of Madness. Not to knock anyone that's into them but Shout has been bumming me out with how much newer trash remakes and lame horror flicks they're bringing to UHD recently

If we don't see them for October then I really wonder if we'll ever see them.

Yep, all in for Stepfather and Village of The Damned.....for whatever reason, I really like Village so welcome upgrade. Stepfather is a no-brainer since I don't own it.

it's odd isn't it? I mean they've re-released practically EVERY one of their early collector's editions from The Howling to The Funhouse to the Halloween films to Lifeforce, etc etc etc.

I realize there's a foreign release but surely these would sell more copies than say.... SPECIES 2???

Yep. The Stepfather 4K feels like a new annoucement due to the Blu disc being 14 years old, but you are right. No new to blu excitement for us this month (or many other months I suspect!)

I don't know if Arrow was able to get worldwide exclusive rights, but even so, I imagine it would be a year at most. With their Psycho set having come last September, October is perhaps the earliest that SF could release them.
