Maybe it’s because they’re nearly all Shout Factory mainline and not Scream Factory.

There's a possibility there could be one or two more.I think by my count, factoring in the Steelbooks, there's 12 releases leaked. The Shout official said there would be 13-14.

I was hoping Nosferatu: The Vampyre would finally come out, but since the insider said I only got one right in my earlier predictions, that would have to be the Jet Li collection.

Not happy for Battle Beyond the Stars? I believe you were just asking for more Corman on 4K?

BBTS was decent fun but I had other stuff in mind, plus I'm happy with the Blu-ray and steelbook I already have. Maybe the titles I'm thinking about aren't actually from Corman? The Terror Within, Battletruck, Streets, Angel In Red - that sort of thing.

I'm sure they are, but I don't think it's possible for most to get the 4K treatment. Shout had been releasing Blu-rays of the Corman catalog as store exclusives for years, but as of a year or two ago they seem to have killed that side of their business off.

Ace Ventura, Abigail, Alexander, Grave of the Fireflies (wish it was 4K), and MAYBE the Jet Li Collection (I have to see what extras and differences there are, if any, to double dip). One of the few months where I'm interested in more than one release, and the past few months of announcements have usually left me with no movies I'm interested in.

Glad I did not import the German 4K of Abigail. And I'll take the Final Cut of Alexander. It was either that or the Ultimate Cut, the only other one that matters.

Curious if the SteelBook matches the others or not, and if so maybe this can reignite some hope that the very few not to get a SteelBook previously will finally get that treatment. I’d like to see that get finished out, and since Shout have a good relationship with Universal, give us the last Laika movie in 4K as well.

What's with the crazy number of Shout blu reviews of Shaw Brothers flicks popping up on the site? Has the AI called Neil Lumbard blown its circuits?

PLACE BEYOND THE PINES 4K is huge! Already have the Jet Li titles on BDs from 88 Films (and got Shout's bundle digitally on iTunes when it was $14.99) but happy for the Region A folks.

Strangers with Candy is day one.

That title alone makes the month worthwhile for me.

Definitely in for Abigail 4K. That one was a lot of fun. Might also go in for Ace Ventura and Battle Beyond the Stars. Grave of Fireflies would be a yes if it were 4k as I have the older blu from Sentai.

Ughhhhh why is Strangers with Candy Blu-ray only!? That film literally just had a full 4K remaster.

Also Battle Beyond the Stars now getting a 4K is kind of annoying considering the fact that they released a Steelbook containing a new 2K scan from the IP in 2021, which I bought. So I’ll have to pass on this one, otherwise it would have been an instant purchase. I mean, they had full rights to the Corman catalog then and now, so what was the point of the 2K IP scan other than a Steelbook cash grab? Unless the negative was literally thought completely lost 4 short years ago so they went with an IP but then just happened to find it recently so now they’re doing a 4K?

I lost count. Are we 3 short of the full slate, or does Jet Li count per movie?

As always, excellent work Mifune.

Jet Li set won’t count per film, Shout! replied to MifuneFan’s post asking about the number of titles.

Damnit... Grave of the Fireflies would have been an instant buy in 4K. (It would have also given hope that the Miyazaki catalog might finally be coming in 4K)

Wow Primary Colors in 4K now that’s unexpected as the Blu-Ray came out 6 years ago I’m going to pick that up along with Alexander Revisited from Oliver Stone. I’m going to wait on the Jet Li set though as that’s going to be expensive. The only Oliver Stone titles I still don’t have are JFK, Born on the Fourth of July, Seizure, and a few others.
