Wretched pickings for horror fans, but at least Hong Kong and Oliver Stone fans are eating good.

the Vampires Steelbook seems to be Amazon exclusive. don;t know about the others.

I'm waiting for Hard Boiled and A better tomorrow to go up on shout's own site and pre-order from them.

I have to assume they're saving more of the Scream stuff for later in the month as part of their Scream Factory 13th Anniversary celebration roll-out.

lol. Probably heaps of veggies tales, reissues and garbage in December. Aside from Day of the Dead down the line, I've given up hope of them surprising us with anything good going forward. It's obvious they are trending away from horror and the titles that made them great.

You guys not excited for Hard Boiled? Outside of maybe the first Matrix and Terminator 2, I'd argue it's probably the best action film of all time. Easily the biggest release of the year IMO.

Stoked for Hardboiled. Gonna be a first time watch but I’m Looking forward to it. I grabbed City on Fire earlier but haven’t watched it yet.

I’ve never seen Hard Boiled but I’m excited to check it out after hearing lots of praise for it. I watched my copy of City on Fire and thought that was pretty good. Needless to say, I’m all in on the Hong Kong line.

The Open Road Film titles have started to show up. Hopefully this means that Chef 4k will be coming soon.

As a horror fan first, I will say I am disappointed in this lineup. But I haven't given up at all on Scream Factory when it comes to horror. The well has been picked dry by multiple labels, and Scream released a huge number of bangers. I know they will release some great horror soon. Maybe the next announcement?

And as a Hong kong/Asian film lover, Hard Boiled is hands down in top 5 best action movies ever made imo. I remember seeing it at like 14 from the video store and being blown away. It made some of my favorites of the time, Death Wish, Die Hard, Commando look like child's play.

I hope Hard Boiled goes up for sale today on their own site. I want to place an order with a few titles from the 50% off site exclusives sale, but there's no way I can reach the $75 free shipping threshold without something else.

Speaking of which, that sale feels bizarrely neglected, they could at least put up a homepage banner linking to it. If you haven't picked it up so far, Fear City is in there for only $15.

Man, I wish Shout would have used the Tony Stella art for these HK releases. Hard Boiled with that green background looks like a cheapo wal-mart exclusive. Anyway, I’m still getting it and Better Tomorrow trilogy.

I've had very little exposure to Woo's non-US films but I'm well aware of their significance - and popularity. I enjoy a good crime film regardless of where it was made, it's the karate stuff I have no interest in. There's been so much of that lately that I'm beginning to look at Shout as the "HK" label. Of course, that stuff is pouring out of almost all boutiques these days but Shout seems the most hardcore. For that reason, and for their ridiculous obsession with steelbooks, I'm counting them out of labels I follow. Like, completely.

I think they didn't because it's a members-only sale for for the physical media club.

That makes sort of sense, but joining the secret tree house club is free, so they could just use it as a way to entice people to sign up.

On one end you've got Vinegar Syndrome doing over-gamified sales with daily rotations, quotas and "limited" stock, and over here they won't even promote their own stuff!
