Paramount had the VHS rights way back in the day, but Tom Savini and the cast have been selling special edition bootleg DVD's at horror conventions.

It has been confirmed as of a couple of days ago that the Friday the 13th films, entries IV-VIII under Paramount's ownership, will NOT be released any time soon. If Scream Factory is willing to do horror fans right by releasing stuff like Halloween III, I see no reason why they shouldn't, at the very least, seriously call up Paramount ASAP and see if they can't make this happen. Lots of people have been screwed, buying I-III on Blu, only to hear Paramount wont' go any further, yet they'll continue to push out their remastered deluxe editions on DVD in crappy cardboard packaged boxes.

I've still never seen Terror Train, but I think I'll give it a shot. More interested Funhouse, though, which I haven't seen either.

I like both, but Funhouse is the better film, especially since David Copperfield isn't in it

Funhouse could be PG if it weren't for the brief nudity!

The Funhouse might not garner an R rating in 1981 solely on gore and violent content, but it would probably take a little more than just trimming the nudity to grant it a PG rating in 1981.

The nudity is probably a bit too excessive for the movie to be granted a PG rating.

yeah the nudity is a little more than brief, and theres also a pretty disturbing scene of sexual nature.

Yeah see Sixteen Candles as a prime example as a PG-Rated Hughes Teen Comedy with a shower scene that has Molly Ringwald's character staring at the naked boobs of the "Queen *****" of the movie and talking about her body.
