I wish! Unfortunately, Shout lost the bid to Mill Creek that would have granted them the rights to "Halloween 6", "Halloween: H20" and "Halloween: Resurrection". Perhaps, when Mill Creek's time expires can we hope for releases done right for those flicks.

Well, I figure an SD rip of the VHS could probably fit on the BD disc (depending on the amount of special features). If not, doing what was done with Halloween 2 with the extra DVD of the TV edit would be pretty sweet. But obviously a 20th generation dupe would be of no use. They'd have to track down an original VHS copy to get the best quality possible. I would imagine Don has one, and since he's involved with this release, maybe give him a call and see if it's possible?

Yup, my mistake. I'm still bummed that Shout couldn't get their hands on that library. A definitive version of "Halloween 6" would have been done justice by them.

At the very least, to me, Anchor Bay should've gotten the Miramax library. I know their recent fiascos with Halloween 4 and The Entity, but at least the 2.35:1 films would be in the proper OAR and not cropped/open-matte. But I'll say this, Echo Bridge has been getting better with some of their releases.

Speaking of Anchor Bay, any word yet as to why those deleted scenes were left off the "Halloween 4" Blu-ray?

I hope SHOUT! can release the 'Psycho' sequels on Blu. My boyfriend and I just watched 'Psycho II' with his sister because she had never seen the sequels, just the original. I forgot how sad 'Psycho II' ended up being. The movie is brilliant and one of my favorite 1980's movies but, the beautiful music score with Norman's loneliness and the fact that Anthony Perkins passed away in 1992 made me so sad when it went off.

I so miss the 80's. I am, however, looking forward to the 'Bates Motel' A&E series this fall.

Nothing yet. But now at this moment, I'm starting to think it has something to do with restoration (don't quote me on this).

I really don't care how bad the workprint quality is, it would make a great special feature. Plus worse comes to worse, just do a composite and have the new alternate scenes seamlessly branched or something.

I wish the original Bates Motel TV-movie (with Bud Cort!) would get a proper release.

I kind of expect the Psycho sequels to wind up as Scream Factory future releases.
I hope Echo Bridge doesnt foul up Godzilla vs. Biollante but all words indicate it will be a good release.
There are many possibilities with both Scream and Shout Factory, since Shout was able to license the MST3K versions of movies owned by MGM & Universal. Who's to say Scream cant get any of the MGM titles or Halloween H20 from Mill Creek , etc. I am tempted to get that Halloween6/H2)/Resurrection set but I keep thinking what if Scream announces this..

Who cares what condition the deleted scenes were in, they weren't being added back into the film, they were just extras. I think it was just one big typo - there likely isn't that much cut footage to begin with or we would've known about them years ago. Oh well.

I cant wait to hear what else Scream Factory has in store for us. I really hope they are doing a deal with MGM/Fox because they got alot of great horror titles yet to be released.

It would be cool to see Fright Night part 2 get a blu ray release as well.

I was just teasing about the VCD; things like workprints and such I agree that quality really isn't an issue because it's a curiosity thing. I mean it would be awesome if something like this could be great looking, but even a low-quality VHS is worth it.

I don't know how reliable this is, but apparently there was a promotional Fright Night 2 blu available a horror convention in London Ontario.

I have seen a few fakes that use an HD release that aired on some channel. But you cannot argue that the film looks 100% better than the Artisan DVD release is. (Which is another reason to assume that's fake. Paramount doesn't own this film.)
