That's some awesome poster art for THE FOG on your avatar, Jupiter. Would make a killer slipcover on a future Blu release of the film. I wish MGM would get off their ass and pick up the pace on hi-def upgrades - their Death Wish blu's look fantastic!

There are so many possibilities for Scream Factory. I wish it much success and look forward to future releases.

Hopefully these initial releases will be very successful and allow them to acquire more titles or even inspire other studios to put out quality horror titles.

Is it more to do with problems in getting a decent transfer or just not what you guys want to do at this time? Obviously, it isn't a rights issue.

that's a shame. I really hope you guys are able to find a good transfer because i'm confident Scream Factory would do it justice. Not to knock the Forgotten Films release, but the film deserves a superior US release.

The FF NOTLD is a bootleg of the Weinstein transfer. To redo it from the neg would be mighty costly, since Romero and Co. wouldn't be likely to let it go for cheap. Plus, doing it correctly and fixing and issues properly wouldn't be cheap either.

Yes, it would be an expensive undertaking for a public domain film. Then some label might rip off our transfer.

The Weinstein transfer is very good, despite the occasional zoom/cropping.
