I think Shout! and Cliff have seen the multitude of people who have said they want the film. Now all we have to do is let them get the rights. Ms. 45, Cliff wants it- we want it - the people want it. I have faith it will be forthcoming, especially since Cliff hasn't responded to any posts about it yet. Maybe that's a sign that he's trying. MS.45! MS.45!

Cliff did respond to one of my posts related to Ms. 45. As you can see, he hasn't given up--but it looks like some higher-ups aren't fans...

I didn't think Ms. 45 was that great. Kudos to the filmmaker for trying something different with the "rape-revenge" genre, as the film really explores the woman's psyche. But the actual film is a bit of a misfire. I'd probably never watch it again.

Personally, I'd rather see The Ladies' Club released. Terrific and underrated film, and also one that has never been released on disc before.

Suffered through VIDEO DEAD on Netflix last night, first time I've been able to get past the first 20 minutes. It is pretty damn dire. And while I will not be buying it - sorry, Cliff - I'm glad it has its fans and it's being released by Shout.

I just finished HII & HIII plus the extras. Great releases! Can't wait for Terror Train, The Funhouse and They Live to come in.

I guess all we can do is hope Cliff gets through to them. It'd be a shame if Ms. 45 got lost in the transition to blu-ray, and eventually just faded from memory.

Well, "The Video Dead", which I am most excited about in the wake of the Friday announcements, is an Avco-Embassy title. Which means MGM could have presented Shout! with more of their Embassy films. There is "The Fog", "The Howling", "Scanners", and if MGM ever got the right reverted back - there's even "Prom Night", "Phantasm", and "Night Watch". Although I'm certain "Prom Night" and "Phantasm" have already been shot down.

Also, any guesses on next weeks announcement? I hope its The Town that Dreaded Sundown, but who knows...

I would say Dolls or Cellar Dweller but they could also shock us with a bigger name title like The Fog or the Burning
its fun to anticipate and Friday is really now a fun day
I expect a lot that only had a VHS release which is what we've seen already

It's quite possible that they're starting small (relatively speaking) and working their way up to some higher profile announcements. I'm gonna stay on the more obscure end, and guess that they announce The Horror Show or Cellar Dweller. If it's an older title, then I'm going with The Town that Dreaded Sundown or Hospital Massacre.

I can see them working their way up too, they have a lot of movies coming up

Back when video stores were around, I rented horror movies based on the covers. The films themselves were almost always disappointing but I never felt like I was throwing money away. If the film sucked, I could always cross it off a list to never watch again but I was satisfied in the end to have seen it, good or bad. I never regretted renting even the bad ones.

Cut to 2012. We live on the internet, where we can find or watch just about anything. If Shout announces a film I've never heard of, I'll go to Youtube to check out the trailer (not the entire film - I don't watch movies on computers). So far the films that were announced are not films I have seen but WILL buy anyway. I wasn't impressed by the trailer for TerrorVision but it looks intriguing. The Video Dead, OTOH, looks awesome. Even if the film ultimately fails to impress me I'll still be happy to have a copy. I've seen Prison but it was years ago and on VHS so this will be a definite upgrade - a must have since it's a good movie.

Shout is filling a void left by the major studios and I intend to fully support them by buying each and every release, good or bad. Shout is my friendly neighborhood video store , the 21st century version

Cine, hopefully you'll dig TerrorVision. Its such a fun movie. One ive loved for years. My screen name on here is actually the character Jon Gries plays in the movie, O.D. Riley.

I agree with you guys on The Horror Show. Would love to see that one released by Scream Factory.

My hope is also for either 'The Fog', 'The Burning', or both at some point. But Cliff has already said that 'Cellar Dweller' won't be happening from them.

I have actually seen the film, just don't remember much about it - I rented it when it came out on video, I don't know, around '89 or '90. I do remember the film being really weird and I recall being somewhat entertained. But having just watched the trailer on Youtube I thought it felt like a combination of a Muppet movie with a Terry Gilliam film, if that makes any sense. Nevertheless, the upcoming release will earn a place in my collection. Who knows, a fresh look at the film probably turn me into its biggest fan.
