Just announce The Burning, Pumpkinhead and Prom Night II and I'll be a happy man.

Cliff - any chance of an Action line of films, perhaps from the Cannon library? Or is it strictly genre titles?

I suggested an 'Action Factory' line a while back and never got a response. Escape from New York could end up here, and we could get strong releases of forgotten gems like Stone Cold and Escape from Beverly Hills.

You mean like this?:

Burt Reynold's is: MALONE (1987)

Ex-Cop. Ex-C.I.A. Ex-PLOSIVE!

Malone is a good little action film, though I felt it needed a more violent ending.

Hey now, I guessed The Town that Dreaded Sundown, as well. It's not like there's that many choices, really.

As for this week--I'll stay the course and guess The Horror Show or Hospital Massacre. Without Warning is a good one, but I think it's still up in the air whether MGM even holds the rights.

I believe they do since they put it out as MOD through the Warner Archive program. Never took the time to check it out though but I've heard decent things.

What's your gut telling you this week, frightener? I've had a feeling since last week of Night of the Comet, but of course who knows. I just feel after a few weeks of more obscure titles they need to reel it back in a hair with something more recognizable

Well without a hint yet this is just strictly a random guess but I'll throw it out there. I think we'll be treated to another never before on DVD title and I feel Scream Factory may make it a sci-fi title for a change so I'm feeling "Without Warning". Now, this is just a pure guess. When this week's hint comes in, I'll hopefully be able to have a much more serious response but for kicks "Without Warning" is my random one for now

I would absolutely welcome the both of those! Always wanted to see "Cellard Dweller", hopefully Scream Factory can make it happen in the near future.

There is something about Without Warning, maybe Greydon Clark, that it hasnt gotten a release yet. MGM never released it when it was releasing MOD titles..so there must be some kind of holdup...

Yeah, it's the same thing with Creature '85. William Malone (the director) was interviewed earlier this year--and he said he owns the movie and plans on putting out the blu-ray.

FWIW, I was under the impression that Creature '85 fell under public domain.

I think with Without Warning, the director (Clark) was selling bootleg copies on a website he created.

Speaking of MOD titles, have there been any more? I doubt MGM would completely abandon the format given the sheer size of their library unless they have other licensing deals in place with other distributors. I wonder if Criterion is done with their UA acquisitions...
