ALL masterpieces!
These are the only ones with MGM, and it's fairly likely the annoucement will be a film from the MGM library. Also, I'm not sure if Firewalker qualifies as a masterpiece.

Well, assuming the hint means there hasn't been a Blu-ray release of this film anywhere in the world, I'm going with "The Burning" or "Lifeforce". Almost leaning more towards "Lifeforce" since it would inject some sci-fi into the Scream Factory library which would be new ground for them. Preferably, I'd like to see "The Burning" announced. I have a feeling we'll be seeing both titles from Scream Factory eventually at some point regardless of what gets announced tomorrow.

20th Century Fox put the DVD out in '04, though it is OOP.

It's in a Triple Feature pack with Orca and something in a few stores.

It could me no Blu Ray release in the USA, if so we can say The Fog, From Beyond, Incredible Melting Man or the Howling. It is a big title and these 2 me are big titles.
The Burning could be, but Lifeforce's DVD release had no extras on it , so I dont think its that one
Carrie had a Blu Ray release but it had no extras, unlike the DVD release...I wish Scream would remedy that one.

Yeah, overlooking "Lifeforce"'s original DVD release, it wasn't particularly stacked in the extras department. I'm leaning much more towards "The Burning" now which would be perfectly fine by me

Are you sure? Maybe you're thinking of King Kong '76, which would make sense if it was bundled with Orca (as both are Paramount titles).

Why would the ancient non-anamorphic DVD from '98 matter? I though Shout was good about making their own extras, anyway?

Edit: Personally, I hope it's not The Burning. It just got a good looking DVD release a few years ago, so Lifeforce is much more overdue IMO.

Don't forget to check in with tomorrow where we'll announce another film planned for a 2013 release. Hints: It's a biggie and will be planned as a Collectors Edition. It will be the first time the film has seen a Blu-ray release and will have new extras (along with older ones).
I'm leaning towards From Beyond or The Burning, but I think there's an outside chance of this being Pumpkinhead.

Edit: Sleepaway Camp Trilogy?

I really don't like From Beyond, I'd be saddened if it is announced instead of something better.

Shout is certainly capable of making high caliber features on there own but the hint did say that new features will be made as well as older ones being ported over. "The Burning" is the release that sticks out most in my mind as a release that had pretty stellar features on its DVD release originally but adding newly made ones won't hurt either for a leap to Blu-ray

I hope it's The Burning as well. The Fog would be my most wanted title but I have a feeling they will hold off announcing that until that convention they are going to. Glad to se them finally pull out one of their big guns either way!

Oh yeah, I didn't even notice that blurb about the new and old extras. That's kind of a bummer. I mean, The Burning, From Beyond, and Pumpkinhead have all had great looking DVD releases. I'd be much more excited for something like Lifeforce, which just had that one pathetic non-anamorphic release from 1998. I guess there's always next week.

This thread has since been stickied but for future reference if you go to a sub-forum, for example the Blu-ray Movies - North America sub-forum, and scroll toward the bottom of the page there is a section which shows all of the moderators for that sub-forum.
