Any chance you guys could pick up any more Hammer Titles from Universal, MGM, or Fox?

They are sitting on some gems! Especially the Dracula and Frankenstein films under their belt. The world needs more Hammer Films on blu-ray in America!

I'm just going to patiently wait and see what Scream Factory announces in the future. I don't mind a good surprise or two.

Super disappointed to hear this; Dolls is definitely in my top five favorite horror movies, and it seems like the demand is there for a new release of it. Any chance of the first Ghoulies movie being released by Scream Factory? (honestly think it's a thousand times better than the sequel, but a dual pack of the first two would be cool)

I apologize for adding another movie to the Scream Factory wish list, but I would love to see a release of Tourist Trap from 1979 starring Chuck Conners. That movie scarred the crap out of me when I was a kid.

So it cant be the Gaff titles either...
That would leave Cry of the Banshee and Witchfinder General
Has Gaff released any DVD upgrades to the MGM movies ?
I was curious about the Sci Fi set again
Im sure Im wrong but my thoughts had me going this direction
The Land that Time Forgot
The People that Time Forgot
At the Earths Core
Warlords of Atlantis

This set would sell - a Doug McClure set !!
Or maybe its a set with movies like The Rift and Cellar Dweller but I dont know if CD is a sci fi film per se.

I'm pretty sure Cliff said those weren't in the cards before. Shame too, Shout would have really given great treatment to them. Those are 2 of my more desired Universal titles lacking a Blu-ray release these days.

Can't talk now, I'm dousing myself in V8 whilst I crush golf balls with my bare hands (it's difficult since the V8 makes the balls slippery).

If Cliff can give us this movie with an excellent transfer, I would market SF on as many movie forums as I possibly can everyday for one month. Free of charge

Cliff,

Are there any plans for any of the major retailers like Target, Best Buy or Walmart to carry any of the blurays in store? I know they offer them online but it would be nice to be able to just pick them up while I'm out instead of ordering online.

+1

I'm starting to go a little nuts researching whos got what and making lists of what I think Scream could have only to see film after film get a no, but i honestly doubt Cliff would tell us what movies theyve got this far in advance anyway, and thats the right thing to do, a little bit of suspense is good, its hard to be patient and not info greedy but I think I would get bored if all of a sudden I knew every release untill 1st quarter 2014. I love this thread and enjoy seeing all the different lists with films ive seen and some i havent, alot of the time i can almost see the VHS rack in front of me but for now im gonna chill a bit, enjoy what we've got, read this thread and hopefully catch some hints.

That's depressing. I'm pretty sure the Universal DVD for Death Becomes Her isn't anamorphic either...

I posted this list earlier. These are the titles left that I believe Gaff doesn't own the rights to at the moment.

Comedy of Terrors
Cry of the Banshee
Dr. Phibes Rises Again
Evening of Edgar Allan Poe
Fall of the House of Usher
The Fly Collection
Last Man on Earth
Murders in the Rue Morgue (Price isn't in this but still Corman Poe)
Oblong Box
Premature Burial (Again Price is absent here but a great Poe adaptation)
Tomb of Ligeia
Twice Told Tales
Witchfinder General

Also, I wonder how long they even have the rights for these flicks? It looks like they had the rights to a bunch of Van Damme and Chuck Norris flicks but only for just over a year before MGM released them on bluray so it may not be too long which would be awesome as a lot of these titles desperately need the bluray treatment.

Well, being ambitious, a Romero Dead trilogy would be awesome.

I'm not really surprised that Shout doesn't have them. They certainly have plenty of appeal for Universal to keep them for themselves. I mean both films pack huge star power and are both directed by very accomplished directors especially Robert Zemeckis whose latest film has been getting tremendous buzz plus Oscar nominations. I do hope we see them on the format at some point though.

TGG (The Gaff Company) are low-budget releasers, like Mill Creek, Treeline, and Echo Bridge. Its a budget company.

They have "Tales of Terror", as well as "Tales Twice" Told and a few others from MGM.

"The Last Man on Earth" is public domain, so anyone can release it, including Shout/Scream Factory, although I doubt they'd be interested.

Legend Films or Hd Cinema Classics (Cultura) are the only PD horror companies that are going blu. They actually have put out some pretty good looking stuff. I'd probably look too one of them for "The Last Man on Earth".
