Seeing as the UK and now Japan are releasing Scanners 2 & 3 on blu (individually no less) it would probably be a bad move for scream to go DVD double feature only for those 2. If there's HD transfers out there I'm sure they'll at least give us a double feature blu-ray if not individual discs with a handful of special features.

Well, if Hospital Massacre is getting a Blu, why not the Scanners sequels? Everybody else is releasing them on blu.

Any chance that Scream Factory will release "The House of Long Shadows"?

Odds are Scream will release SCANNERS 2 & 3 as a double feature blu but just because its released on blu overseas doesn't mean there is an HD transfer. Some of those discs are upconverted SD transfers.

Sidenote, I think I was one of the few people that know and love THE VAGRANT. I was very disappointed to find it will not be coming to blu. I understand that there is not an HD transfer and it happens. Just had my hopes up with this title. Hopefully THE HORROR SHOW will not be DVD only.

They have done HD transfers on other released, and IF they couldn't find one for these they could always do the same. They are pretty popular, and have already been soft-announced sorta as being on blu-ray as a double feature.

As mentioned before (but bears repeating because we suspect not all of you are aware of it and it will be asked here), our HD presentation will be the 91 minute original as-seen-in-U.S-theaters cut of the film (the same version MGM has released on DVD since '05) and not the 93 minute "unrated" international version as we had originally hoped for. This is due to legal issues that are out of our control and hope you understand.

Some of what discs? Neither Scanners II nor III are upconverts, though apparently both suffer from DNR, according to the Digital Fix review.

Absolutely adore the "Swamp Thing" cover. I actually have a ridiculously mint condition 1-sheet poster of the film, the colors just pop on that thing. It's a really gorgeous painting.

Did anyone else notice anything weird about "Phantasm II" bluray.

It was like glowing, everything in the dark looked bright around the outlines. And the people looked kinda like clay. Ive never seen anything like that before.

Ive bought all of their releases and They all looked great, or do you think it was just my copy. It was horrid.

Nope, not framed but well protected. My collection is really vast so everything can't get the frame job on them.

I don't know about a box set, but THE BROOD is even more of a sure thing than SCANNERS is:

Sorry, I read that but was not sure of the significance of it. Then again I skimmed. Can you paraphrase what exactly it says and what its importance is.

And if anyone can help me out...

What were the features on the Green and Blue "Fog"dvds? I no longer have it, since Shout announced this one, do you think that you can post the list here for comparison to what they may or may not have ported over, although I think most will be. Like, the easter egg from TV shows promoting the film, would they be able to clear that stuff? would they even have to?

My biggest wish for Scream came from a dream I had last night:

Anchor Bay lost the right to the Halloween film and Shout grabbed them.

Do they flat own Halloween or just have it subbed from Compass Intl/ another company
I think Universal has the tv rights and may have put out a Vhs tape. Could they have a long term contract with Anchor Bay/

I would love for Scream to put out Collector's Editions of Halloween and Halloween IV.

AB just released a special edition (two commentaries and a featurette) of Halloween 4 eight months ago.

I should be more specific. Some overseas discs (not specifically Scanners 2 & 3) can be just upconverts of SD. You don't want to go through the trouble of ordering , pay good money and find it to be a blah transfer. DNR is another story. Some films really benefit I feel from it, if done well.
