from THE TOWN THAT DREADED SUNDOWN - BD Review: here.

Note: This is another Shout! Factory release where it is impossible to access the Top Menu or chapter skip ahead during the supplements. I noticed a reader in our Forum took issue with this assessment, claiming that he could easily access the Top Menu on a Shout! Title. All I can tell you is on both my PS3 as well as the BD Drive on my computer, no Top Menu is available in any of the supplements and chapter skipping is also not allowed. What that means is once you've selected any given supplement, you're "stuck" there unless you fast forward to the end. This is also true with regard to the commentary track.
Anyone else had this problem? They have virtually all worked just fine for me.

I posted the following in the Town That Dreaded Sundown thread:

I'll concede that I couldn't chapter skip ahead, but those with PS3s whom choose to watch one of the extras aren't stuck watching it...

I saw it first at my local Hospital.

I want to pick up Halloween III but the one copy at the closest Fry's doesn't have a slip. Guess i'll take my chances and order from Amazon (both Scream titles I ordered from them came with a slip so hopefully this does too).

Redrunner, you should also add another space before "Vincent" just to line everything up. (That's my OCD talking. )

They probably already have selected the titles. The Burbs was requested a bit by some fans. I have never seen it but a few people did mention it in here and on Facebook. So I guess anything is possible.

But they probably already have the titles from Universal picked out, they had to have because they would not announce titles prior to officially signing the deal.

Redrunner, you should also add another space before "Vincent" just to line everything up. (That's my OCD talking. )
the Slipcovers aren't limited, so there shouldn't be a problem with getting the slip with the H3 release, especially not from Amazon.

Because Vincent Price isn't a title, there were never any quotations around it.
The space is there, the capital V is just larger than the " marks.

Same here. I bought The Burbs dvd back in 1999 and it's been watched about twice a year since. It's my favorite Joe Dante film and Tom Hanks film.

I know they're not limited, but I've heard of people not getting them from Amazon.

I was saying you should add another space to make it even with the others lol. No big deal though.

I really don't know where you're getting your information from, but you CAN get them from Amazon. I've ordered all the SF titles from Amazon and they all included the slipcovers. Besides, they're not limited.

I checked out Scream Factory's new YouTube channel. It is a good source for clips of special features and trailers of past and future Scream releases. I loved Screams's picks for some of their favorite camp/camping horror movies besides The Burning.. They listed Friday the 13th,Don't Go into the Woods, The Prey, Sleepaway Camp, and Madman.

Would love to see Scream obtain most of their Scream picks. I would love to see The Prey. I've never seen it before.

YES The Burbs needs a blu-ray release badly from these guys.

YES it's a logical double feature.

I've been a fan of Scream Factory since they were announced and i've bought every blu-ray of theirs since Halloween 2 and 3 hit stores. I own both the Universal edition of Halloween 2 (just for Terror in the Aisles) and Scream's blu-ray and i should say that Scream's blu-ray is the winner with excellent picture and sound with awesome extras including the TV cut. I'm glad Prison, Deadly Blessing, Death Valley, The Island, Terrorvision, Video Dead, Town That Dreaded Sundown, Dark Angel, Hospital Massacre, Schizoid (1980) etc. have finally gotten a DVD and even better, blu-ray release as i had each of these on video on blank tapes for years since i was a teen and yearned for the past decade for DVD releases yet my wishes came true as i threw the tapes in the trash. They even improved on the bareboned DVDs to Phantasm 2, They Live, Funhouse, Halloween 2 and 3 and Terror Train as i sold my old DVDs with Vampire Lovers/Countess Dracula double feature at Hastings for store credit on my re-usable gift card especially Lifeforce, The fog, The Howling, Amityville Trilogy and all that for upgrading.

I just got Town That Dreaded Sundown and Burning the other day and MY GOD they looks fantastic and great extras too. I did pre-ordered The Howling and Lifeforce 2 months ago and will get them on my 31st birthday! i also can't wait for the rest of their releases including Ninja III, Incredible melting Man (i hope shout releases MST3K version soon), Q, Dark Angel, X-Ray/Schizoid (1980) double feature, Scanners 2 and 3 double feature (Criterion should do the blu-ray this fall to complete the trilogy for fans), Horror Show aka House III, The Fog, and all of them including Prince of Darkness, Amityville, Body Bags, Night of the Comet and Vincent Price.

They sure know how to please cult, sci-fi, horror and thriller fans like myself even genre blu-ray junkies like myself as well.

IDK, I thought I read somewhere that some people weren't getting Scream slips from Amazon. It could've just been one or two instances but you never know with Amazon. That's why I was hesitant.

Watched Body Bags on YouTube for the first time last night. Best horror movie I've seen in a long time. John Carptener should have acted more when he was younger, he reminded me of a Michael Keaton type. The Gas Station was incredible, it made me feel like it was the best Halloween sequel never made. The other two segments were good but not as memorable as the first, but itll be worth picking this up ASAP just for the morgue and gas station segments alone

Does anyone know if the Image Blu-Ray re-release of Heathers ports over any of Anchor Bay's Special Features?

THE PREY is one slasher I have never seen but want to badly. Anchor Bay was supposed to release it on DVD but ultimately didn't because of a lack of good source materials. At this point I'm willing to take a DVD-R. AB actually was going to release FINAL TERROR as well back in 2001 - don't know the reasons why it never happened. I finally gave in and bought the German import (under the title "ANGST"). Both of these are definitely Scream Factory material.
