Nighthawks is wonderful, I would certainly be in favor of a release.

I'm really looking forward to this release and love the artwork. I think Scream are doing a great job on the double features. Terror Vision/Video Dead is one of my favorite releases from Scream and I'm sure X-Ray/Schizoid will be just as good.
I like the cover for X-Ray / Schizoid as well. But I see how people might not like it. Especially X-Ray, it didn't hit the eye right at first. I think it look too photoshop-y. I have warmed up to it though.

Nighthawks is a thriller and Scream not only does horror but they do thrillers, suspense and sci-fi remember?

They don't do thrillers or suspense and only sci-fi if it has horror elements as well.

I certainly thought it had horror elements - I was reminded somewhat of The Hills Have Eyes.

I remember the first time I saw it saying to my friend that it is a lot like The Hills Have Eyes, only its an Island. Peter Benchley's a superb story teller.

I do!

I don't quite get Shout doing a SE of THE SHADOW...just months after Universal is doing their own Blu-Ray...and with so many great Universal titles to choose from. Just...weird.

Frankly I think NIGHTHAWKS has a much larger cult following than a bubblegum studio underachiever like THE SHADOW too and would be more up Shout's alley.

THE SHADOW must have been one of those "oh, and we'll throw in The Shadow for free if you want it" kind of deals. Hard to say "no" to one of those and with superhero movies making a killing these days....

I never liked Alec Baldwin (much less so today because of his prima donna public fits) so this is an automatic pass for me. But I would love a properly done Blu of NIGHTHAWKS.

Does Shout charge sales tax? Going to place an order for the remaining Scream Collectors Edition I don't have and some titles I want to preorder.

Terror Train
Phantasm II
Lifeforce
The Fog

Just ordered The Burning from Amazon too.

I love Nighthawks, but it's not even remotely horror. It's an action thriller.

I don't think that a HD version of an extended cut would be possible. That's why the extended cut is only available in DVD quality on the UK release, with the extra scenes basically being VHS quality.

And considering that it was already released by MGM as both a part of the Hannibal Lecter set as well as a solo release, I doubt that we'll be seeing a Shout release. Even though it's not a huge title, it still might be just a little too big for Shout.

Because the deal was started long before they announced their release.

Hi Cliff, does Scream plan on using 'The Dude' Designs again? Also, any update on aspect ratio for Godsend?

Tourist Trap Collector's Edition blu-ray would be nice since Shout did a few deals with Full Moon on some DVD titles and could use a blu-ray with remastering and extras galore.

Anyone here seen the 1994 adult animated horror thriller from Germany called Felidae? now that's a movie that could use a R1 blu-ray/DVD combo badly! it's been seen on youtube and has a cult following even among both horror/animation buffs alike and would look better than any of those bootleg DVDs fans bought from conventions. It is an excellent animated horror thriller about a talking house-cat who moved into the big city as he notices some alley cats in his neighborhood are slaughtered as he joins up with some other Alleycats to help solve who the killer is. Definitely not kids stuff and it's quite gory and violent but well made and has excellent Bluth-esque animation to it, it's like a combination of Watership Down, Perfect Blue and Aristocats. It could use remastering plus with both English Dub (contains the voice of Cary Elwes of Princess Bride/Saw fame) and German langugage in subtitles with extras being interviews, trailers, German TV spot, still gallery and all that plus with a better more darker looking cover (like the main cat with blood dripping from it's fangs) with the original poster art to reverse.

Some interesting Hospital Massacre trivia from FB:

-X-ray is the full 89 minutes of the film. Original cut.
-MGM had them change it from Hospital Massacre to X-Ray. Plus the print itself said X-ray.

Default X-ray double feature

I was looking on Amazon and noticed the X-ray double feature was in the Top 70 in horror blu-ray and DVD sales. In fact there are several Scream releases in the top 100 of horror on Amazon.

Felidae seems interesting but I might not see it for the same reason I avoided seeing the adaptation of Richard Adams' The Plague Dogs. I'm rather squeamish about cruel things happening to cute animals.

I'd have to agree with your assesment... it's a boring flick with a good opening, and a fun over-the-top ending .... but the entire middle is as dull as dishwasher...
