Why are Psycho II and Psycho III being called Collector's Edition's when they

- Dont Have New Art
- Dont have Posters

Does anyone know??

doesn't seem very consistent, why not call them all Collector's Editions then?
wtf?...

As has already been discussed, Universal asked/insisted that they not create new artwork.

Yes. But they shouldn't be referred to as CEs. Just make them regular releases.

That is SF's call, and I support them either way.

They're gonna have a lot of features regardless, so Its not like I'm not going to buy it or anything, but yeah, I agree.

Its like they are breaking the pattern they have already established.

Why not simply make them regular editions? People are going to buy either way...

Maybe because they will have lot's of extras?? I thought releases with lot's of extras where labeled, "Collector's Edition" or "Special Edition".

Thought I was the only one who found this odd.

It does not make much sense. We all know there not going to cut the bonus content short, if they called it a non-Collector's Edition. Even though that's what it is.

Not necessarily true.
At least, not in Scream Factory's case.

Terror Train is a Collector's Edition with a low amount of features.
Terror Vision / The Video Dead is packed with features though, but not a Collectors Edition.

Why is it so important whether or not they are collectors editions ?
They are coming out on Blu Ray for the first time ever , most likely with extras....with or without the "CE" label...
Frankly everything Scream has released has been a collectors edition in my eyes since they all carry extras

Oh well. I'm getting them anyway, if they are called, Collector's, Special, Ultimate, or what ever Edition.

Maybe they should be called the "Super, Crazy, Psycho, Nutty Collector's Edition" for all us crazy fans out there.

They will have slipcovers and a fairly large set of extras which i feel is enough for a CE.I can see why others would feel differently but im actually looking forward to original art slipcovers for these.Would love it if Meg Tilly was up for contributing to this release,Psycho 2 is awesome, bring it on Cliff

I'm really excited to get updates on the upcoming titles as to what special features will be included. I got so pumped after hearing what The Fog was getting.

To me, it seems like its gonna stick out like a sore thumb among the rest of the CE.

And I agree, would be cool to have Theatrical slipcovers, but just these two among tens of new ones.

Edit-reading over that it sounds abit smug-thats not my intention.
