A deal with Lionsgate would be the second greatest thing to come out of Shout after the MGM acquisitions but I still feel that such a deal is unlikely. Maybe the Power Rangers stuff was something Lionsgate lost the rights to, same as the ITV titles. The Vestron library is the one Shout (and us) would probably be most interested in and that's unfortunately with LG forever. Of course, I could be proven dead wrong!

I don't think so, as Lions Gate has a Power Rangers release in Sept.

No. Cliff put PotP in his Top 10 Scream Release Wishlist. Just like how Jeff put The Sentinel on his and that is a possibility.
Although I do agree with Criterion. Synapse, however, is a wild card horror company (Prom Night, Frankenhooker, and Tenebre).
I think Without Warning might be the most requested right up there with Fright Night 2

So, it was NOTD he turned down, not NOTLD ...that's a relief LOL

I know over on Facebook, Scream Factory had mentioned that the announcement of certain titles at SDCC would depend on whether the deals were signed in time or not, and it's been said they've got 4 titles/month planned for all of 2014.

Honestly, I wouldn't rule anything out (except Warner Brothers ). I actually do anticipate at least one or more off the wall announcements that aren't from Fox, MGM or Universal.

I reckon you're right.
Would love some titles along the lines of

The Initation (1984)
Cheerleader Camp
Girls Nite Out(The Scaremaker).

Not the most high-profile or maybe even well liked films but id buy them day 1.

I thought only a specific cut was public domain and that the Weinstein's had the fully uncut version or something to that effect.

What I'm hoping for (mind you, even some titles have been turned down, Scream Factory are pretty good sneaks so my list stands):

-Child's Play 2
-Child's Play 3
-Army Of Darkness
-Jaws 2
-Phantasm (THAT would surprise me!)
-George A. Romero's Night Of The Living Dead '68
-George A. Romero's Dawn Of The Dead '78 (though I'm sure that's secretly with Synapse)
-The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (unlikely though)
-Attack Of The Killer Tomatoes
-Dead Alive (seeing the clues; the Power Rangers Legacy Set is including the show's recent 3 seasons, Shout!'s releasing ITC titles held by Lionsgate)
-Bad Taste
-The Return Of The Living Dead Part III
-Dolls
-Leprechaun (again see Dead Alive, see the signs)

May add more later.

And just for the record spawningblue, I was the one on the HorrorDigital forums who speculates Shout! made some deal with Lionsgate.

If Scream/Shout have a deal with Lionsgate in the works, I'll be sorely disappointed if they don't release Ken Russell's Lair of the White Worm. Or any other Russell title would suffice, I don't like to be fussy. Gothic, perhaps.

TWC owns their own tranfer of NOTLD because they messed with the framing and copyrighted it.

Note:
**NO OTHER PD MOVIES TRANSFEERS USUALLY CAN BE COPYRIGHTED**

So if SHOUT made an HD transfer then every little company could "bootleg" it legally and make their own releases. Like Kino, VCI, Legend Films, etc.

"I hear there may be a BIG ANNOUNCEMENT at COMICCON-SAN DIEGO for NIGHTBREED: THE CABAL CUT in just a few short hours! What will it be?" - Michael Plumides

This HAS to be "Shout!/Scream Factory" I mean come on, short hours? Their panel is what 3 hours away, not even?

Exactly. Of the ten different NOTLD blu-ray's that I own (from all over the world), eight of them use the TWC transfer. The other two blu-ray's use an inferior print (though it is uncropped). Those are the U.K. Network and German Digibook blu-ray's.
