Funny considering so much of Amazon's low prices are them just copying BB's pricing.

Amazon must really love me. I ordered a copy of Incredible Melting Man yesterday afternoon. I have Prime so it's an automatic 2-day delivery (gotta love Prime). I got it today, less than 24 hours after ordering. Nothing makes me happier than getting stuff early

On the subject of stores carrying Scream titles, my Walmart had a couple copies of Dead Souls. Only on DVD though. The blu is available on Walmart.com for $14.86 and you can ship it to the store. I went to a Best Buy an hour away and they had Dead Souls on blu on release week.

In Canada I know that sunrise records for sure gets all the scream factory movies in stock release week. They do have limited supplies and usually sell out rather quickly.

Yeah, Paramount flat out owns the DW library--everything from 1997 thru 2010 (minus the animated films). In 2011, Disney/Touchstone started distributing DW's new movies.

That doesn't seem to cover things that they aquired, like Ringu, Ringu 2, Ringu 0: Birthday, Rasen, Casper, Casper: A Spirited Beginning, or Casper Meets Wendy. On top of the other "horror" jems they control that were not Dreamwork's Productions.

Or are they all now with Universal, who paired with Dreamworks for the DVD releases of a lot of their older, non-produced, titles?

Either way, I want The Ring on blu-ray in Region A. They all are out in Japan but I don't think they have English subtitles or dubbing. [I'd also like Ju-On, Pulse, Premonition, Dark Water, Infection, almost all good J-Horror is missing from blu. But those are all over the place.]

+100

exactly... that's why I go in there and use their Trade and Save promos and don't bother trying to stack coupons and use PM programs... the price is more than reasonable with that program....

I still can't believe people blindly praise Amazon when clearly AMZ for the most part just PM what the B&M store sell their wares for that week.

Just remember if the B&M stores go out of business be prepared to pay higher prices since Amazon won't have to PM anyone.

Plus I go to B&M stores because one I can pick what I want in the best condition and two during sales like U&S. I save more then what AMZ would ever offer. The only thing I have to complain about is that most B&M like BB and Target don't carry Scream/Shout titles. And yes blah blah I know that all of a sudden BB started carrying The Fog but this is been at select stores and none in my area.

The Casper films were not Dreamworks, Casper was Amblin/Universal; Casper: A Spirited Beginning and Casper Meets Wendy were 20th Century Fox.

Even if they fell under the Harvey Films banner, they would be part of Dreamworks Animation, which is now distributed by Fox.

I understand what you're saying and will support the local B&M's through their store exclusives, but after that it's Amazon all the way. No taxes and free shipping is just too much of a good deal. Then factor in no gas/travel and not having to deal with crowds, Amazon reigns supreme.
I'll revisit when/if Amazon starts charging sales tax in my state.

I was shocked to see The Fog at a local Best Buy today. It unfortunately had a slightly jacked slip or I would have bought it.

A bill to require online vendors to charge state sales tax has already passed the US Senate and is now being debated in the House. I think it is going to eventually pass but I hope it doesn't go into effect until at least next year as I'd rather not pay sales tax on the PS4 I pre-ordered from Amazon.

Don't forget endless selection, painless return policy, no obnoxious and/or clueless employees, and 5% Gold Box discount. Plus Subscribe and Save on many non-media products like coffee, candy, plug-in air fresheners, and a million other household items that would cost you twice as much in any CVS or Walgreens.

Oh of course...I could've gone into the VOD, Amazon Mom, Diapers.com and probably a dozen other things, but didn't want to stray too far off topic.

I will say this, and it applies to any type of retail: The more purchasing options the better.

Paramount currently appears to have the US rights to Ringu 0 and Ringu 2. Ringu and Rasen on the other hand....

Watched The Incredible Melting Man today. Was pretty bad. Not as bad as The Video Dead though. I really like the interview with William Sachs and Rick Baker. I could listen to Baker all day.
