Why read it, when you can see it on Blu-ray.

CAT PEOPLE (Collector's Edition) scheduled for Jan 2014.

So far I really like Scream Factory for bringing certain horror films on Blu-ray. Overall though, when you say "bringing great stuff", I hope that doesn't mean lame sequels to movies that weren't that great to begin with.

Got my Halloween II blu ray today from bestbuy.com and I'm happy to say that it included the slipcover. Solid condition as well, easily a 9 or 9.5 out of 10. Best of all I now have reached 1000 reward points again so I have a $20 reward certificate waiting for another scream title, or possibly another 3tb drive for the media server.

I'm currently watching X-Ray.

Not a great film but I can't deny it is very entertaining.

It's funny in that the hospital and staff are almost over-the-top unrealistic and treat this poor woman like she is in prison.

Oh, and the scene where she is being harassed by the other old ladies that are sharing her room (one of which looks like a man in drag) - priceless!

Ok am I going crazy or was there a change on the all night marathon pack? Mine has schizoid(1971), the vagrant, the godsend, the outing. It appears online it should have included what's te matter with Helen and not schizoid. Sorry if I missed something.

I actually liked X-Ray better than Schizoid. It was a blind buy for me as I have never seen either film. I thought Barbi Benton was pretty hot in X-Ray.

Schizoid was a more classy kinda Slasher, but X-Ray was just plain fun cheesy 80s awesomeness.

And you can bet your ass we're getting more slashers, because X-Ray/Schizoid was the #1 dvd/blu-ray release sold on Amazon in the horror best-sellers section!

I think we'll probably see these before the end of the 2014 year (maybe early 2015):

Visiting Hours / Bad Dreams - Double Feature
New Year's Evil
To All A Good Night
Savage Weekend

And who-knows what else!

I don't know about anybody else but I'm still in the after glow of the Werner Herzog announcements. Nosferatu is a very big movie for Scream and I am so looking forward to this one especially.

I received a copy of their volume one release of All Night Horror marathon on DVD in the mail today and it has Schizoid aka a lizard in a woman's skin! I thought they delayed this until October because they lost the rights to schizoid and had to change it to a different movie.
Anyone else get this?!

Ah, excuse my ignorance of the previous page. Nevertheless, it's interesting that this happened, couldn't this be a legal issue for Shout?

No, they shipped the first pressing to stores, and they honored the preorders.

Some people are reporting that SF titles are starting to not come with slips? Uh oh...

I went to hop onto the DeepDiscount deal where it's 10% off your order, and my was I shocked at their prices!

These are all before discount, with the after discount price in parentheses.

Phantasm II 17.03 (16.33)
The Fog 19.19 (17.27)
From Beyond 18.28 (16.45)
The Nest 16.89 (15.20)
Prison 18.48 (16.33)
Dead Souls 16.33 (14.70)

My only hope is that Phantasm II, The Fog, From Beyond, and Prison all come with their slipcovers.

I did a bit of research and just for comparison sake, I have the following titles broken down first by what Amazon is offering, and then what DD is offering after the 10% discount.

You can lock in some very nice pre-order prices. Day of the Dead, Prince of Darkness, Cockneys VS Zombies, and the two box sets have a pretty nice discount.

Town that Dreaded Sundown 18.73 versus 19.81
X-Ray/Schizoid 18.99 versus 19.62
Dead Souls 16.83 versus 14.70
Prison 20.57 versus 16.63
The Nest 21.69 versus 15.20
From Beyond 21.95 versus 16.45
The Fog 19.59 versus 17.27
Phantasm II 21.95 versus 16.33
The Burning 21.95 versus 20.51
Ninja III 24.91 versus 19.65
Swamp Thing 20.00 versus 19.83

Day of the Dead 20.96 versus 20.02
Prince of Darkness 20.96 versus 20.21
Scanners II/Scanners III 21.97 versus 19.63
Cockneys VS Zombies 22.47 versus 16.97
Q: The Winged Serpent 13.99 versus 14.38
Amityville Horror Trilogy 60.00 versus 46.74
Vincent Price Collection 79.97 versus 54.00
Night of the Comet 26.94 versus 20.61
Assault on Precinct 13 26.94 versus 19.81
Body Bags 26.94 versus 20.21

Same here. I have not really been interested in any of their previous releases, with the exception of the upcoming Vincent Price collection, but that announcement put a huge smile on my face. Nosferatu alone would have been enough to get me excited but having many of his other great films is incredible.

What?! Er, so that explains why all my slipcovers are blank white when I reversed them and then taped them all back together
