I see Shout Factory going for a more "Criterion"-esque, arthouse type of slate in the future. They're not abandoning B movies entirely (those will go mostly to their Scream imprint) but I do see them releasing less and less of these types of films. Now, if Cliff would like to come back on here and debunk this for us he's more than welcome

That's why, aside from Highlander, I listed possible Scream titles... Also, Wicker Man would so fit that criteria.

Walmart has been carrying a small selection of Scream Factory DVDs in stores. No Blu-rays yet, sadly. Retailers demand onerous terms these days to carry an item, which is why you see many of the smaller Blu-ray distributors completely skipping retail B&M sales.

Psycho II. POD is a bit of a mixed bag and IMO a bit overrated.

So, now that I'm the proud owner of Scream Factory's Halloween II and III, is there any reason I should keep my DVD versions? I'm always a bit worried about getting rid of DVD's after purchasing the Blu version...

What does everyone else do? Is there any reason that the DVD's - though they have a lower quality image - might have value because they're 'less tampered* with'?

*I'm referring to the 'clean up' process that companies use to make the film presentable on Blu-ray. (If that makes sense. For a layperson, lol. )

In 99% of the cases the Blu-ray will offer superior picture and sound.

Hopefully with October and Halloween coming up soon we start to see some Scream Factory titles go on sale. There's a bunch I'd get if they went below $20.
