It's not. They've already released the specs and the artwork.

I don't have a Region Free Blu-Ray player so this is good news for me.

Does anyone remember how many movies SF said they had planned for 2014?

Okay, that's what I thought. Thank you. Do you know if they are counting double features (like, Bad Dreams/Visiting Hours) as one release, or two? I was just counting, to see how many more releases to expect to be announced, and I think I counted 28 releases, so far. So, about 20 more?

"Motel Hell" was a very good choice on their behalf as like some have already mentioned, I also have no region free player so this will be my first crack at it.

I wouldn't know.

But its just a guess, a good guess. They don't actually know what's coming until it's aquired. But they have a good idea of what they'll try to go after.

well I hope not, I counted in 2012 they released 7 titles, in 2013 they released 57 titles, (I counted for all these the collections and double features as the number of movies, Amityville Horror Collection is 3 titles, etc) so I do hope for more titles than last year. but 20 more titles is still good to know, I was just hoping it to be 30 to make it 58 titles.

Im going to go out on a limb and say they have a new deal with MGM, Motel Hell being the first in what I predict will be another 100 or so titles.

I think you may be over guessing, but yes. I do believe there will be another 30 or so titles for the Scream Factory brand alone.

I suppose DERANGED and SQUIRM are on the pipeline as well. No sense in passing them by, right? Maybe even Last American Virgin. So 3 less titles to look forward to from Shout for me since I already have the Arrow releases.

I think its a given there are several Vincent Price titles coming...Pumpkinhead and Without Warning are still uncertain to me...
Planet of the Vampires would be something I hope they will consider
I hope they also will consider Invaders from Mars, Endless Descent, Yongary, Monstroid , At the Earths Core, Empire of the Ants to get Scream Factory treatment. Id love for Monstroid to get released with above average image quality. Without Warning really needs a release, its never been done here. And of course Burn Witch Burn, Quatermass Experiement , Konga, Land that Time Forgot and Gog would all be welcome on my shelf

I don't see The Last American Virgin getting picked up; I could have sworn Cliff had said elsewhere that catalog comedy titles weren't doing as well sales-wise compared to the genre films they had put out. It's a shame, but I've got Arrow's release, so I'm good on that one.

Likewise, Arrow's release of Motel Hell is supposed to be excellent (I don't have that one, so I can't say for sure), but it's good Scream is putting it out for those whom aren't region free, especially with how requested it was.

My most wanted 'obscure' film for Scream Factory to release is the great Aussie horror flick NEXT OF KIN (1982)

Incredibly atmospheric, and a gets-under-your-skin type horror movie. Never even released on DVD in R1; I think it's with MGM.

Off topic.

But I just saw the shittiest freakin movie I've ever seen. Worse than even Manos in wtf factor. It was from 2012 and called 1313: Hercules Unbound! (streaming on Netflix) and it was so horrible that I almost cried laughing all the way through it. It's one of those crappy green-screen films in the 1313 line (called that because 1313 gets them higher on the streaming movies list of films in alphabetical order).

In the first few minutes you will see tradmark bad-acting, but beyond that there is a Greek god with a big tattoo of Texas on his inner-arm, a bodybuilder who flexes his pecs randomly throughout every uber-talkie scene he is in, gorgeous women that can't act to save their life, and lots of sweaty half naked guys running around pretending to be actors and occasionally their loin-cloth will sway to one side... And it aint a pretty sight. Almost every scene is filmed green-screen style and every shot is nearly identical, with talking, zoomed in on the actor's face. They shake hands and it's not in the same frame, which leads me to believe they may have not even filmed the scenes together. It's so deliciously awful that I loved it. This film should rise to the top of the heap of this generation's so-bad-its-good list.

It makes Plan 9 From Outerspace look like Citizen Kane. I implore you to check it out asap. Especially if you love flat out godawful movies like Bowanga, Bowanga or Thor and the Amazon Women.
