I believe the picture your referring to is of Werner Herzog and it's for a box set of his films and I believe that Amazon has the pre order up where you can tell the picture Shout had shown was the cover of the set. The only Scream worthy title in it would be 1979's Nosferatu which is already up for pre order.

Bubba Ho Te, Child's Play sequels, Village of the Damned, Creature, etc. are all titles I could see Scream one day releasing. I definitely wouldn't say there's no chance Scream won't release them. I can actually almost guarantee that we will see some of these next year. Don't know why you bolded Troll either as that's MGM. Dr. Giggles on the other hand is definitely a title that can go, as it's owned by Warner. Last edited by spawningblue; 04-08-2014 at 04:56 PM. |

I also don't like how some of the titles on these packs are redundant as they release half of them on Blu-ray. If they can't release some of these titles on Blu due to lack of quality materials, then she should make a budget pack of four titles that won't hit Blu, so I'm not buying titles twice. In my opinion (And it's just my opinion, it's really up to Wolfking), I would just delete the titles that they have no chance of getting, ie. Warner titles, Dark Sky, Scorpion, Blue Underground, Synapse, etc. and go from there. Maybe this will show Scream that Howling 2, or Troll has a huge audience. Unless the poll is just to hope/ guess what remaining titles will be released this year, which in that case is probably only a handful plus the Price collection, and doesn't really need a poll for as they probably already have them. |

I never said that they are beneath certain titles. Only that they have shot down titles such as Creature and Bubba Ho Top and the Howling II .. There are titles that Scream has said that they are not pursuing and then there are titles that they tried to get but couldn't - I don't see anything with Sony yet. They cant even get the MST3K movies that Sony owns the rights to from them (that's for the Shout DVD sets) Until I see a title from Sony's library I will just call it unlikely. They are dealing with Twilight Time The poll only makes sense if its titles that have a real chance of getting acquired.. Any fan can hope for a movie from Scream Factory, but if it's a movie like the Keep or Creepshow they will be hoping forever because they cant get them from the studios that own them. I hoped that they would get Without Warning since its with MGM and they got it. They have a deal with Fox and Im hoping for the Fly II. Im sure Scream will continue to seek all avenues that they can get. They could even get more Code Red titles if they wanted to under the assumption Evilspeak and Final Exam do well. And I have a feeling SF did get some of the Miramax titles.. |

Given Bill's mercurial nature, I wouldn't assume anything when it comes to what Code Red will or won't do. He already stated he wouldn't do any further business with Scream because of 'negative' Facebook posters, though I'm sure he's changed his mind at least a half-dozen times in the interim.

At Midnight I'll Take Your Soul (1964) - I believe Synapse has the rights to the Coffin Joe films Big Trouble in Little China (1986) - Fox already released a Blu-Ray for this film Clownhouse (1989) - If you know the background for this film, you'd realize this is never, ever going to happen. Even if MGM made it available, I don't think Shout! Factory would risk the PR-nightmare and potential fallout with some of it's existing licensors in other areas of their home video division. Damien: Omen II (1978) - Fox already released this film on Blu-Ray Dawn of the Dead (2004) - Universal already released this film on Blu-Ray. Death Bed: The Bed That Eats (1977) - Cult Epics/Olive will be releasing this film. Deep Rising (1998) - Mill Creek already released this film on Blu-Ray. Dr. Giggles (1992) - Warner Brothers already released this film on Blu-Ray Ernest Scared Stupid (1991) - Mill Creek already released this film on Blu-Ray. Flatliners (1990) - Sony already released this film on Blu-Ray Frankenstein Unbound (1990) - Fox licensed this film to Anchor Bay for a DVD release. I don't think they'll license the Blu-Ray to a separate company. Ghosts of Mars (2001) - Sony already released this film on Blu-Ray Graveyard Shift (1990) - Paramount / Warner Brothers Happy Birthday to Me (1981) - Mill Creek already released this film on Blu-Ray. Horror of Dracula (1958) - Warner Brothers House on Haunted Hill (1959) - The film might be public domain, but the best elements are probably in the Warner Brothers film vaults. House on Haunted Hill (1999) - Warner Brothers I Know What You Did Last Summer (1997) - Sony already released this film on Blu-Ray I Still Know What You Did Last Summer (1998) - Sony already released this film on Blu-Ray I Walked with a Zombie (1943) - Warner brothers I Was a Teenage Werewolf (1957) - Susan Hart Innocent Blood (1992) - Warner Brothers It Lives Again (1978) - Warner Brothers It's Alive III: Island of the Alive (1987) - Warner Brothers Ju-on: The Grudge (2002) - Lionsgate Lemora: A Child's Tale of the Supernatural (1973) - Synapse Leprechaun 2 (1994) - Lionsgate Man's Best Friend (1993) - Warner Brothers Mark of the Devil (1970) - Blue Underground Mindwarp (1992) - Twilight Time has the rights until late 2016. 3,000 copies may be more than enough to satisfy demand. Night of the Lepus (1972) - Warner Brothers Nightmare (1981) - Code Red DVD will be releasing a Blu-Ray Omen III: The Final Conflict (1981) - Fox already released this film on Blu-Ray Paperhouse (1988) - Lionsgate Parents (1989) - Lionsgate Possession (1981) - Mondo-Vision will be releasing this in a lavish Blu-Ray set Return of the Evil Dead (1973) - Blue Underground Return of the Living Dead: Necropolis (2005) - Lionsgate Return of the Living Dead: Rave to the Grave (2005) - Lionsgate Ring (1998) - Paramount / Warner Brothers Ring 0: Birthday (2000) - Paramount / Warner Brothers Ring 2 (1999) - Paramount / Warner Brothers Rumpelstiltskin (1995) - Paramount / Olive (Republic Pictures title) Sisters (1973) - Criterion Spider Baby or, The Maddest Story Ever Told (1968) - Dark Sky Films / MPI Spontaneous Combustion (1990) - Code Red DVD Strangeland (1998) - Lionsgate Subspecies (1991) - Full Moon Sundown: The Vampire in Retreat (1989) - Lionsgate Targets (1968) - Paramount / Warner Brothers Taste the Blood of Dracula (1970) - Warner Brothers Terror Firmer (1999) - Troma Terror in the Aisles (1984 Documentary) - Already on Blu-Ray The Curse of Frankenstein (1957) - Warner Brothers The Deadly Spawn (1983) - Elite Entertainment The Dentist (1996) - Lionsgate The Driller Killer (1979) - Cult Epics/Olive The Fearless Vampire Killers (1967) - Warner Brothers The Frighteners (1996) - Universal already released this film on Blu-Ray The Fury (1978) - Twilight Time has the rights until mid 2016. The Hand (1981) - Warner Brothers The Last Shark (1981) - Prohibited in the US The Mangler (1995) - Warner Brothers The Mummy (1959) - Warner Brothers The Penalty (1920) - Kino already released this on Blu-Ray The Relic (1997) - Paramount The Shining (1997 Mini-Series) - Warner Brothers The Stand (1994 Mini-Series) - Paramount / Warner Brothers The Tommyknockers (1993 Mini-Series) - Paramount / Warner Brothers Tombs of the Blind Dead (1972) - Blue Underground Troll 2 (1990) - MGM already released this film on Blu-Ray Urban Legend (1998) - Sony already released this film on Blu-Ray Vamp (1986) - Image already released this film on Blu-Ray When a Stranger Calls (1979) - Mill Creek already released this film on Blu-Ray. Wolf (1994) - Sony already released this film on Blu-Ray Films like Carrie, The Thing or Escape from New York might warrant double dips even though they already have Blu-Rays. A lot of these other titles probably have marginal double dip potential for any number of reasons. Last edited by zbinks; 04-08-2014 at 07:51 PM. |
