Will definitely jump on this. That's a great price for this title. Thanks for sharing this information.

Personally I thought it looked great and sounded great but I have nowhere near the greatest equipment. Watch out though, the dinner scene has numerous white specs and things like that for some reason.

How about Manhunter in a new 2K scan on the TC as it could include the DC in a 2-disc collector's edition?

How many inches is your TV and are you using a 5.1 sound system?

Finally, there is a dreadful UK disc of Don't Look Now, although it has been rumored as a Criterion release due to a photo posted on their Facebook of a Criterion staffer(?) examining a frame from the film on their monitor.
There is also a region B German release of The Sentinel, which I own. It is not a spectacular transfer but definitely better than the current dvd available. If you have multiple region capability, I recommend it:

***Colombian Military Horror Film “THE SQUAD” Comes to DVD/Blu-ray***

Having world premiered at Austin’s famed Fantastic Fest in 2011 to admittedly mixed reception, Jaime Osorio Marquez’s atmospheric work of military horror THE SQUAD (EL PÁRAMO) is finally hitting the U.S.

Though no official announcement has been made by the distributor, fan favorite Scream Factory—the cult and horror-based offshoot of Shout! Factory—looks to have acquired the film about a unit of soldiers attempting to uncover what’s happened at a desolate, death-filled military base. There, the group descends into a paranoid, aggressive atmosphere that may be caused the supernatural.

Funny enough, this is the second international title to take a three year journey to shelves, as Sean Hogan’s intimate horror story THE DEVIL’S BUSINESS will arrive on Blu via Mondo Macabro this fall.

I remember enjoying THE SQUAD out of its festival screening. The film has an eerie hold, right up to an unsettling, ambiguous final shot. While no disc details are currently available, the DVD & Blu are up for pre-order on Amazon in anticipation of an October 21, 2014 release.

Picked up Lake Placid yesterday and just watched the extras. The making-of was decent, but unfortunately was missing Bridget Fonda (who appears to be retired from Hollywood). My only complaints are the lack of commentary track(s) and that Palm 6 produced the making of. Seriously horrible video quality for every featurette they've created. So cheaply/poorly done. Red Shirt Pictures and Aine/Ken Leicht make far better quality extras.

I'm a little surprised we haven't gotten an official announcement from Scream Factory, yet. The preorder has been up for a week or two now.

Agreed, their editing is terrible it's almost like a rough cut or something. I mean I appreciate the interviews but the bad video quality, uninspired title design and weird swoosh sound every time the camera cuts in closer gets on my nerves.

I wish I had known earlier. I would have liked to have locked in that $17.48 price on Amazon

It's weird because Shout said they put up all of October's preorders on their site and this wasn't one of them.

Scream Factory is busy this Summer of Fear? What does that mean? Things seem like business as usual... maybe Comic Con demands a lot of preparation time.

Uhmm, yeah.
I don't, quite, know how to put this...but SDCC is kind of a big deal.
